good morning ladies! today i had my first monitoring appointment. went great, and quick. i was worried it would be backed up and id be in there forever. but i was in a10 to 7 and out by 745 we wont have the blood work results in until this afternoon, my scan was good. i had 16 follies, and they were all between 7-10 (i dont know the unit in which they measure, is it mm?) i am liking this protocol much better! last time i had like 4 on my right side by ER and this time i counted 7 with the Dr while he was calling out their sizes. this was day 5 of our stims, i hope we get to do an early ER so that i can get my lobster dinner for my birthday!! as of right now ER was tentivly scheduled for 1/27 ( my birthday ) but we have our fingers crossed for at least one day sooner.
I get to pick up DH tomorrow morning. hes leaving kuwait and should be here sometime before noon, cant wait. i miss him, and hate doing this without him!
as far as medicin symptoms or side effects the only thing i can say i had is some off an on pain where my ovaries are, but its bareable and only lasts about a second and goes away for a while. i also have headaches which i think is from the lupron. well i told one girl, you never know, nothing is certain till ER so, when we get there we'll know for sure. next monioring appointment is Friday the 21st, day after tomorrow, so DH will be there yay!

lilrebel, the PIO shots are the pits for sure, i remember them well and i still have sever pain in my right hip from nerve damage, DH went straight through a nerve lost all feeling on that hip for like a month or so, then sharp painful tingling, couldnt even do cardio without taking a pain pill of some kind!

ED, how are you feeling? where are you at in your cycle? have you made it to NJ yet?

congratulations Tonya..now you can breathe easy. OB release appointment is with your RE where she/he will discuss the current status and perhaps give you some guidance on which OB to go and that she will release the records to the OB etc. It is a mixed emotion filled appointment. Through the course of IVF you get really comfortable with your RE and the office and then suddenly when you are pregnant, you will need to leave and find an OB. I was so sad about that because my RE is a wonderful doctor that I wanted her to deliver my baby as well.

wan2bemommy - i know you are having butterflies for you DH, wishes for a wonderful time with him.

i start my vivelle patches today. I have been having only mild headaches with lupron but, last night was very hard. Coupled with AF cramps, bloating, lupron headaches, I was a mess at the end of the day.

lilrebel - follow the PIO regime of heating the oil and ice treating the site and massaging to a T. They will not be painful then. Friday will be here before you know it.

Congrats guys! It looks like everyone is moving right along.

I've got a stall on my cycle. Looks like we'll be doing a February retrieval/transfer. My DH didn't get the mutual fund cashed out in time. I asked him to do it back in November and he kept putting it off. He had the nerve to tell me "you could have done it". Yes, technically I could have, but he said he'd do it, and I felt weird cashing it out since it was money he brought into the marriage. I am so frustrated right now.

kaite, so sorry about your delay. i know all about waiting LOL last cycle i was on a wait lidt for my facility and then i had to wait another 7 months to doa nother cycle. when it comes it will fly by so fast! if ivf has taught me anything its patience :P

Wan2be- NOPE, haven't left yet, we are leaving Friday morning!

AFM: Got the call from the clinic, I am ALMOST suppressed, YAY! They said they like E2 to be at 50 or less and I am at 83, so by Monday I should be right on target and start stims Tuesday as planned! I was nervous that they would say I had to wait or cancel, but I just prayed about it and now I got the go ahead, woohoo! Still have the headaches so ready to be done with lupron...

TOSHA -- Good luck on having the fluids removed. You will feel so much better when it's all out! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your little embies. Don't blame yourself for not having drank enough water, who knows if that's even true. You did your best, there is so much crap to think about when you're going through this process! It'll be all better in no time!

WAN2BEAMOMMY -- Thanks for the sweet words. I cannot wait to hear that HB. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about it (I am a bit more emotional than usual these days! ) Congrats on your 16 follies. Awesome number and they're pretty good size already. Wonderful! Also I'm really ahppy for you that your DH is back from Kuwait tomorrow. One less thing for you to worry about. I can't imagine how you're doing all this with DH away. That's amazing. I'm really happy for you that he's back and that you're going to your next appointment together!

BEARBABY --Yay for starting stims! You're almost there.

TONYA -- Can't believe they're already talking about releasing you. Isn't it crazy to think your relatiosnhip with your RE is almost over? I have not had that conversation with my RE yet. I haven't really thought about it ... I don't really like my OBGYN ... I'm going to have to find a new one ASAP! A week ago my hormone levels were at 4368, progesterone was at 21 (up from 1324 three days earlier with 19 progesterone). I have the same kind of symptoms as you. I feel some tugging, pulling and mild cramping off and on. I feel like my belly looks bloated. I can't really suck in my gut in anymore. It's a very mild change, but I can see it. DH thinks I'm out of my mind. It's like I ate a gigantic hamburger.

I can't really say anything, b/c I think Math covered it!

ATM: I had my first checkup today with Want2b ( VERY nice to meet ya lady) ... I had 6 follies (5-7), lining of the uterus was a 6, and my estradiol was 66. They are doubling my gonal-f and I am to be rechecked Friday at 6am.

I have NOOOOOOO clue what any of that means. * other than 6 b/c well, that I can see.. I know the lining has to thicken up, but the estradiol at 66? Can anyone explain that? Thanks!

So, I went in to get drained, but they didn't drain. Instead i was put on a 5 hour Albumin IV. It helped none if you ask me! UGH! They said my misery is coming from gas....showed me on the u/s where my instestines are filled with gas...FUN! So RE personally went and got me some gas x. HI've been releasing some of it thank goodness! I have to go back tomorrow for another IV treatment.

My second BETA was today too...249!

Berrykixx- What day is stims is this for you? How much gonal were you on vs. what the doubled it too? I need just a lil more info so I can play dr.

Wan2be- Yay, glad your hubby is coming home finally!

Tosha- OK this is gonna sound gross, but when I had my hysterectomy I have SEVERE gas and the only relief came from some trick a nurse did, involving warm water and a tube inserted you know where... then the water ran back into the bag thing and the air bubbles went out with the water, instant relief! Maybe they can do something similiar for you, no meds just that water set up kinda like a sitz bath.. Hope you get to feelin better soon!
