Lil: so great to hear from you that you're doing great.. Yahoo.. Makes for happy eggs to hear good stuff like that. (hugs)
Kate: Oh, I know how you feel.. Its' called BURN-OUT. I totally experienced that but keep your focus on the prize. Cuz if I survived 4 shots a day I am sure you can too. (hopefully your not doing 4 but if you are then I can't amagin you doing worse than me. I was a whinny brat (gave my DH those puppy dog eyes, made him feel like crap,) point taken anyhow he knew I was doing it for us not just me) Oh my trigger i cried when the nurse showed me the needle and when finally the time came (thank you lord) I stuck myself; DH after said, Honest hunny I was going to do it for you.. .I didn't know you were doing it now, AS IF the BF Time on the alarm wasn't enough... HA!.. Guilt trippin city but was anticlimatic so no worries. Just keep doing it a couple more days hun... It will be over before you realize. Then you get to panic of ridiculous things after that, hopefully not....
KEEP your EYES on the PRIZE aka baby katiew....
Lots of luck and great Transfer for Tuesday.. Relax and just pamper yourself.
Ed: I know I am ... good job on the # girl... 44 in 45 looks like you're going down quicker than you thought.... Water weight, my butt, well maybe a little but you have to take recognition for accomplishing that . Great job girl.
Hope everyone is coming along... hopefully I'll have great news to post tomorrow afternoon, I'll be working so might be later.. YEAH right!... Hey Bear i've been thinking your clinic probably does that longer wait to make it extra sure. Mine might just want to get it up and over with.
who knows. As we've all found along the way they are all Independently owned and operated. I still like my RE, he better have gotten me prego.. OR ELSE...

Hello Ladies! Well after cyring and not being able to sleep last night I decided when I woke up today that I was going to stay positive and not let my elevated FSH psych me out of my first ( and I pray only ) IVF treatment. I went to my RE's office today so that I could drop off my b/w results and I know I wasn't going to get to talk to my RE since I just dropped in but his nurse did come out and talk to me. I showed her my results and told her how upset I was that my FSH was at a 13 and she said yes it is on the elevated side but that I should not worry about this at all b/c they have had several women with elevated FSH in my age range that responded to the stims well and got pregnant. She said it was not what they would call a very high FSH and that my other bloodwork was all within normal range. After talking to her I must say I felt much better, even though I am really waiting to meet with my RE and hear it from him, it was nice to have some more reassurance. She said that she would give the results to my RE and call me if he decides to change my protocol in any way. I was upset but now I am just going to put it out of my mind and focus on relaxing and staying healthy and keep believing this will work. I wanted to ask, have any of you tried accupuncture before or during IVF? I have been hearing good things and wanted to know if it was worth looking into? You ladies have a wonderful day!
ED - Thank you so much for the information, advice and encouragement! I can see why everyone has wonderful things to say about you and I feel so lucky to have found this board =)
Myst - I am praying for you and I just know you will get your BFP tomorrow!

Pena- Good to hear that you now have some reassurance with your bw results. I have been doing acupuncture and will be able to tell you on Monday whether it helped or not with pregnancy. It did help with the anxiety and helping my AF arrive on the day it was supposed to before starting stims, I would recommend it if you can afford it.
Katie-you are almost at the finish line! I know the hormones can really take a hold of you but try and remember the big prize in the end, it will be worth the struggle. Get lots of rest, it might be a good idea to take a few days off work this week if you can after retrieval/transfer. You already have so much potential with the number and size of your eggs, some women only end up with a couple eggs so you're already ahead of the game! We are praying for you and know what you're going through right now. It will get better.
ED- Great job sticking with the diet! You'll have to buy some hot skimpy summer clothes to show off your new bod! A picture on the fridge of something you would eventually like to wear can sometimes be a good motivator too. Keep it up girl, you can do it!
Lil- Sounds like things are going great for you, we love hearing that. When's the next u/s?
Mystery- Good luck tom, you are going to be the next one preggers! I agree a faint line is better than no line, that's a great sign. Can't wait to hear the results!
AFM- Sooooo tired of waiting but that's nothing new. DH and I are going grocery shopping tonight and I think I'll buy a hpt and maybe test in the morning. Does anyone think 9dp5dt is too soon, should I wait a couple more days? The suspense is killing me but I don't know if I want to risk a negative and then be paranoid til Monday.

Pena: WHAT!.. you know you shouldn't stress yourself out this early in the game girl.. keep positives around you, as you don't want to psych yourself out. Great that your RE's nurse was able to pass on the info and give you some more insight to that hopefully has calmed you a bit more. Take it easy girl... Accupuncture is all the rage now, for fertility I believe. I know several of the girls on the thread did it, prior to getting treatment, during treatmentp and just after transfer. I did it up to the day before my transfer day, I just wasn't doing it for fertility but tried to get the bonus of it. I have a bad back (nice eh?!) and can't take any narcotic meds while I am pregnant or trying to get prego so I tried that. Not bad, but I can't take it on my legs, the Accupuncturist almost had to peel me off the ceiling when she poke my leg; I have very bad sciatica nerve pain. I can live with the pain if it gets me my DH boy, what us women go through for our men I tell you.... Probably would have been easier to poke my eye out.. but I am gonna have so much fun with this.. Praying that I get a great number tomorrow, I am not having any high expectations just neutral for now. Got really excited after I saw that faint line and pray and pray its' gonna come true.
So buck up girlie.. your gonna be just fine!
Bear: It's up to you it's stressed me out, but I started way too soon.. I'm 7dp5dt and got a faint one.. so you just never know.. hearing chants yet..

Mystryjen- OMG!!! Keep peeing! That's how it starts right, a faint line? I know it will be darker and darker until your b/w BFP!
Lilrebal- good to hear from you! Are you feeling great?
pena87- I've been doing acupuncture on and off for about a year, and I really amped it up during my IVF cycle. I believe in it, and I always feel absolutely great and relaxed afterwards, but it hasn't worked for me yet... I'm debating if I want to invest in it again for my 2nd cycle. It's $90 a session and my acupuncturist usually wants to see me twice a week. If it was cheaper I wouldn't think twice about doing it again, but if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant, I don't necessarily want to be a new mommy in debt!
BearBaby1- I know, the 2ww sucks!!! Sounds like you're ready to take a test, I am SOOOO rooting you!
Katiew- girl, what's up, are you triggering tonight or what??!!
AFM- heard from the nurse today about my new protocol. Last cycle I was on Lupron (5 units until stims, dropped to 2 units), Follistim (450 units), Menupur (37.4 daily for 6 days, switched to 75 IU for 6 more days).
New protocol:
Lupron same (5 to 2) follistim (drop down to 300 daily) menupur (up to 150 daily). The nurse explained that menupur is way more potent than follistim and will give me an extra boost of LH, which is hopefully what I need to get more mature eggs. They're talking about keeping me on BCP for 6 weeks and starting stims in April with retrieval the week of April 25 (so far away!), so I basically begged to get in an earlier cycle group which would start in late March. She said that group is already pretty full but she'd see if she could get the doc's approval to bump me up. Fingers crossed!Me- 36 / DH- 37

Page- LOVE your new protocol!! I didn't realize you were on such a low dose of meds before, holy cow!! Very high hopes for this new protocol, aside from the lower dose of lupron (I have always been 10, then dropped to 5 when stims start, but heck i may ask about that lower dose for myself!) the other doses sound right on target!! Follistims just recruits the follicles already present, the menopur grows'em big,LOL! Praying you get in the earlier group! keep us posted, so excited for you!!

Myst - I know I shouldn't be getting myself down so early in the game but finding out about that FSH really shocked me, especially after seeing my former RE after 2 years and not knowing about this! I asked them so many times about doing that test and they kept dismissing me saying I was perfectly fine. Well at least I have moved onto an RE that I believe will be successful in getting me pregnant and I do plan on not letting this get to me. I am so excited for you....can't wait for you to post your BFP tomorrow!
Page - Thank you for the acupuncture information, I have been considering it and I did call around to a few places but it is definetly not cheap...lol. I wonder if insurance ever covers something like this? I hope you do get to cycle earlier, from what I was told they are estimating I would do RE the week of March 28th so we might be cycle buddies =)
Bearbaby - Thank you sweety, my thoughts and prayers are with you!

Well girls..I dont have such a good news.. I started spotting this evening, and have been trying to think its nothing. I'll go to my appt. tomorrow and let them draw my blood and tell them about the spotting, but have a sneakin suspicion that it's not gonna be good. I keep my head up and thank god for what ever it is, as could just be a blessing in disguise, not sure how to take it, but I'll keep you guys up to date tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening ladies...
Baby dust and lots of sticky vibes.
