Muminwaiting- The break was also a roller coaster. I would see someone pregnant or with a newborn and could feel all the emotions and would get upset, but I had to think that I stopped this myself and decided a break was necessary. It did do good though. I was able to do some of the things I missed doing without having to worry about do I need to go to the dr or don't forget the shots at this time and the early morning appointments. I was able to take some vacations and travel internationally. So to me it was worth it and helped get me back into the right frame of mind.

Sweetisarah- I don't know when the hsg is yet. I do the provera panel on Thursday (4/29) and once my cycle starts they will do the hsg between CD5-10. I am not looking forward to it, but know it's worth it.

My RE office is open 7 days a week. They actually give us a schedule on CD1 with what to expect but of course after CD10 it's open because who knows what is happening when. I go in on CD3 for bw and u/s then will start the Gonal-F, they bring me back in just about every other day for bw and u/s. They increase the dose based on both things. Needless to say my arms and tummy will be sore. Usually by CD 12-13 they start having you come in every morning for bw and u/s and for me trigger shot is usually cd15-16 with iui the day after. The appointments for the bw and u/s are between 6:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m. I usually opt for 6:30 because it's less crowded and you can come in between 6-6:30 and it's first come first served. So when they start at 6:30 you could be one of the first ones back there.

SweetiSarah, I definitely shouldn't complain about my 30 min journey to the RE - that's incredible that you travel 3 hrs. But, you're right that when you find a dr you trust then it's definitely worth it. You could get through a lot of books on tape with that commute!

JJ, I hear you on wanting to be one of the first ones there. My RE is open 365 days a year, 7:30-8:30 on a first come, first serve basis. So I try to get there at 7:30 to be seen quickly. But there are always others there, so I hadn't thought before that I probably can show up 7-7:30 and truly be at the beginning of the line!

I have to go back in tomorrow (it will be CD 12), so I'll probably show up closer to 8:30 since I'm definitely not in a rush to get to work on a Sunday!

JJ, have you had an HSG before? I don't know much about tubal miscarriages, but do they leave scarring that is likely to cause the HSG to be painful? Mine hurt for only a few seconds as the dye entered, then it dissipated quickly so it was okay. But I'll definitely be thinking of you and wish you luck with that!

Let us know how the provera panel goes. And, Sarah, how many days did you decide to do the prometrium?

mum- keep us updated on how the appt goes! DC12 is a good day for it to be haha! I cant wait to start the injections again! UGH I hate that my e-2 was too high to do it last cycle!

I think I am going to stick with 6 days. Thats what I did last time and the symptoms are creeping back up. It gives me some odd side effects! lol I get a numb arm and acid reflux super bad. Tonight would be night 7 so if I am feeling well enough tonight I will take it. My little sister is here for the long weekend and she is on her cycle so I am hoping that if she sticks around my body will try and sync with hers with the help of the prometrium. Its what happened the first time I did prometrium.

With that being said.. How is everyones weekend going?

Mum- I hope your CD 12 appointment goes well. I have had an HSG before but it was 7-8 years ago when I first started treatments. It was a little uncomfortable but the ibuprofen they had me take helped. I wanted to do another after the 2nd tubal but the RE didn't think it was needed. So I was glad he said he wanted to do it again this time. I was going to ask if we could. He classified 3 of them as tubals, but we weren't really sure. My numbers weren't doubling and I had spotting after I found out I was preg with the IUIs so since he couldn't see anything he assumed they were tubal and we had to terminate the pregnancies. So I am hoping the HSG is clear.

Sweetisarah- Hope you're doing ok. I can't believe tomorrow is Sunday the weekend went by way to fast. It's supposed to rain here tomorrow

Hi! Thanks for your wishes - I'll definitely let you know how my appointment goes in the morning.

Rest of the weekend has been fun. Yup, rain here tomorrow as well, so a bbq I was planning to attend was just cancelled. But, today was gorgeous so I had lots of fun out in the sun.

And, went to see my friend and her 12-day old baby today. He was adorable and wonderful. Of course it made me want one all the more, but man did those parents look TIRED! I'll take that any day, though...

    Cancelled Cycle

    Hi Ladies,

I also had another cancelled cycle due to a cyst on one of my ovaries. The doctor put me on birth control for 2 weeks. I go back to the doctor next Wednesday then we will start a new cycle. I also have PCOS. I am thinking the hormones in the birth control will kill the cyst? I have no idea. We are going to start Menopur 2 vials a day to start with. This is really my last shot so I really hope this work.

Good luck to everyone this cycle.

    Julie

    HI Julie,

Welcome! We'll certainly be thinking of you and hope that cyst disappears!! It seems so many women on here had great luck during their "last and absolutely final" attempt, so I have a good feeling for you on this one.

As for me, I had a decent experience at the RE yesterday. I was actually surprised that I only had 2 follies around 14mm on my right and smaller ones on the left. I thought they'd have grown more by then. But, anyway, I go in tomorrow morning so that will be the true test because I may be close to my trigger.

I feel so bloated, though! Haha, that certainly does mean I'm close to the trigger but I'm praying it doesn't mean there are too many. My RE is super conservative when it comes to that, so we'll see...

How is everyone else doing today??

I had CD2 e-2 levels done today and not so good!

My e-2 was 89, and my RE likes it to be below 70 before starting a round of injections. On my 1st round of injections it didnt get to 70 until CD5 so hopefully my numbers will go DOWN instead of UP like they did last time.

After the injection cycle was canceled I waited for my cycle to start and when it did my e-2 levels went UP instead of DOWN so that cycle was canceled too and I am hoping so badly that it doesnt happen like that this time! The nurse told me to go back in on Thursday to re-test but I am going tomorrow also. It will help me with my own sanity! I NEED to know that its going down and not up so that I dont worry myself constantly. Thankfully there is a lab really close to me that sends my results straight to my RE and I dont have to drive 3 hours!

How is everyone elses cycles going?! Give me an update!

    Hi ladies!

Sarah, good luck tomorrow! I hope your levels drop.

So, I got some bad news today. My estrogen levels dropped...but in this case, I didn't want them to! The last 8 days (every other day) mine have been 60. 67, 72, then today they were 30!! And I had a ton of 14mm and one 16.5mm follie. So, my RE said we had to cancel the cycle and now I have to move on to IVF.

I was pretty overwhelmed to hear this. Of course, IVF isn't nearly as overwhelming now as it would have been a few months ago since IUI is a good "warm up". But, still, I have so many thoughts...how many embryos will I transfer? Will I have to do IVF next time as well? What will I do with any extra embryos? What if THIS doesn't work?? So much to think about!

I wish much better luck to all of you! Keep us updated!!
