So... fert alert not great. Of the 26, 17 were mature, but only 10 fertilized. The RE has called DH a "rock star" before so I feel fairly confident it is egg quality. I know, I know.... it only takes one....quality vs. quantity etc. I just felt that with 26, even if I had to do FET 5 times- EVENTUALLY it would work! KWIM? With 10, I feel like we are back to our waiting game of playing the odds. This is our last chance. If it doesn't work we are done. Yesterday I just KNEW we would have a baby. Now I feel like I am back to the normal odds.
Hoping- I hope your appointment goes better than mine today.

SarahO - I still think you have great numbers so don't get yourself down. Just a few more days until transfer! So glad we'll be in the 2ww together.
AFM, day 8 and 2 more ganirelix injections left. Ultrasound tomorrow morning to check the lining and starting progesterone IM injections on Saturday. My days are dragging more as the transfer gets closer. Acupuncture tonight - last one before transfer.Me: 38; DH: 42

Ok, so I'm not going to say "quality vs. quantity" or "it only takes one"... I will, however, point out that I only had 4 fertilized embies my IVF cycle, and I'm sitting here fat and definitely pregnant -- despite the fact that my eggs were 10 YEARS older than those you're working with, and our sperm was not at any time described as "rock star"! So chin up, chica! Not too much longer until your BFP!

Well, this is crazy... I am a day late and not feeling like AF is coming. I had cramps a few days ago took a motrin for my impending AF and she's a no show. I just POS and there are 2 lines?! Can this be for real??? I had bilateral tubal occlusions. During my c-section I asked my OBGYN to massage my tubes to try to break up any "cob webs". I've NEVER been pregnant besides my IVF! I'm totally in shock. It might be wrong. It's just crazy.

Dorey - Wow! Looks like you pulled a Galpaz when you weren't looking. It must feel like a miracle if you thought both your tubes were closed. Take care of yourself and get back on those prenatal vitamins, if you ever stopped. My OB says to take them while you're breastfeeding too, so I figure I'll just keep going indefinitely. You sure you want to wait that long to go to the doctor? If you're at 2 weeks, and can't see the heartbeat until 7 weeks, you're setting yourself up for a 5 week wait! I'd never make it! LOL.
SarahO - Are you hanging in there? Do you get any updates today, or do you have to wait another day for a 3 day update? Your transfer is a 5dt on Monday, right? Having trouble with the brain this week, so want to be sure I'm not mis-remembering!
Hoping - I hope your body isn't turning too black and blue with all the shots! Did DH start the progesterone yet? Here's to him being gentle with the needle! You are getting so close - one more weekend and then you're practically there.
Country - LOVE the photos - Arabella has the biggest eyes! I can't believe you're talking about ski weather already - it's just starting to get hot here. I've had the AC on for the last month. I'm glad you're back in the swing of things and that Arabella is doing well with the work schedule. She gets to stay in the same building as you, right? That's so great - you must have so much fun visiting her when you get a spare moment.
Bos - Are you packing your bag yet for the hospital? I just read an article that suggested a pre-baby hospital bag, and then a post-baby hospital bag, with the stuff you need after the baby comes and just leave it in the car until you need it. It kind of made sense, but DH will probably laugh if I tell him he has to take two for me, plus he's supposed to pack a bag with a change of clothes and stuff too. So, according to this article, we go with three bags.
AFM - Rainy day here in Virginia. Puppy sleeping next to me on the couch. I'm supposed to be working, but all I want to do is take a nap with her. If I can finish a project, I'm promising myself a trip to a fabric store to get fabric to make a crib dust ruffle (my MIL is custom making all the other nursery bedding and a baby quilt, but I told her I'd do the bed skirt and make a matching throw pillow for the Little Castle recliner/glider I ordered. Since I haven't used my sewing machine much since high school home ec class, it may take me a little while to figure out. But it's just a few long, straight stitches, the only thing I have to figure out is the gathering on the dust ruffle, but I don't think that should be too hard either. We'll see. If Country can sew clothes, I ought to be able to do a basic pillow and bed skirt... I hope! Worst case scenario, I'm out a few bucks in fabric and some time and I just have to throw myself on the mercy of the MIL to do the other two pieces.
26 weeks today. I feel like I should celebrate a little, but DH is out of town. Maybe I'll pick up Outback Steakhouse food later - I get a serious craving for that blasted 1,600 calorie blooming onion (I don't eat the whole thing!), and I haven't had one in at least a month, maybe two. Hmmm, guess that means I should eat a low calorie, health lunch to balance things out. I guess that rules out the leftover Chinese food...6 IUIs - BFN

Country - love the pics of Arabella. She is so bright eyed and adorable!
Dorey - wow, looks like congrats might be in order!!
SarahO - how are you doing? any more updates?
VA - you'll have to share pics of the bedding once it's all done. I totally cannot sew and would be of no help!
AFM, went for my ultrasound this morning. It took forever for my appt - they only had 1 tech and she was totally backed up. Finally got in though and everything looks great. Lining is 9 mm. Just spoke with our nurse and she said the lining looks 'beautiful'. LOL Everything is confirmed for Wednesday transfer so I expect they'll pull our embabies out on Monday (3dt). Blood work on Monday for a progesterone check and start the IM injections tomorrow night. EEEK!Me: 38; DH: 42
