SarahO - Wow, I'm SO excited for you. The stims seemed to go so fast. I hope you're keeping busy and not getting too antsy. You've waited so long for this cycle to come around, I'm sure it's hard! Any update on the donor? It's great that your RE focuses on quality, that's smart, particularly since you're not wanting a whole basketball team!
Hoping - Yay for AF showing up -- let's hope this is the last time you see her for a long, long time! I have to agree with you that the progesterone shots do not sound even remotely pleasant, but all for a good cause, right?! You have worked so hard to get back in shape and do the acupuncture and I really hope this cycle is picture perfect for you.
Country - So glad your transition back to work is going so well. I'm sure your little girl gets a TON of love and attention there. So sorry about your car ride with the crazy kangaroos and animals - that's truly awful and I don't blame you for coming home and crying one bit. It's not nearly as traumatic (or expensive - no car repairs were needed), but I hit a cute little turtle the other day. I turned a corner and saw him walking across the road too late to swerve and heard a loud CRUNCH. I cried for the next 5 miles I felt so bad. Ugh. You are truly impressive with your sewing and homemaking - you've (almost) inspired me to get out my old sewing machine and make a few nursery decorations. I'm not good enough to try clothes!
Bos - Wow, it sounds like your little one is in position and getting ready! I'm sorry about the lack of sleep - so unfair - since we don't get to sleep much after the baby comes, we should be able to get as much as we can before! I know the heart thing must be scary, but I've heard lots of stories about things like that healing within a month or two of the birth without any medical intervention. Hopefully that will happen for you.
Lanieh - Ok, since I'm at 25 weeks, you've got to be headed towards 28 or so, wow! How is the nursery coming? When do you get another u/s - I don't get one until 36 weeks! Grrr... I like the idea of a drug-free delivery, but will probably get the drugs. I've had too many friends tell horror stories about the pain and complications. But I'm trying to keep an open mind until I do the childbirth classes and hear about both options in more depth.
NMS - Your photos are so beautiful they inspired me to sign up for a newborn photography session of my own. I hadn't really been thinking about it before, but I think capturing those tiny moments in a really beautiful way is a great idea. So thanks! I hope you're getting into a groove and the boys are letting you get at least some sleep. Do you have any family visiting to help out? At least you're in the new house and have plenty of room for everything - that's one blessing!
Dorey - It IS so good to hear from you. It's great to hear that Jake is doing well and that you get to spend some good time with him when you aren't working. It sounds like he loves his momma, if he likes to be held so much!
Galpaz - How's your little guy doing? I hope all is well - we do love photos, so share when/if you can!
Caper - I hope the end of the school year isn't too crazy. My MIL was teaching a class last week and she said the kids were nearly feral, they were so wild and ready do be done with school! How are you doing? Thinking of you.
AFM - I've been checking in every day, but haven't had anything to report. My next OB appt is not until the 19th, and it's the one with the lovely glucose test that a bunch of you have warned about. Yuck. Not looking forward to that one. Everything else has been going well - at the last appt they said my test for neural defects was negative, and the risk of downs was 1/2500 or so. It seems like I had a very scary 1st trimester, but the 2nd is going good.
I have crazy bad indigestion. So bad sometimes that I keep threatening to stop eating altogether since nothing seems to prevent it. But I love food too much - I was up 25 pounds at 23 weeks in, so clearly I'm not abstaining!
Not sure if I mentioned, two of the three puppies found wonderful homes and I'm getting lots of photos and email updates, which is fun. The family that was to take the third (who also happened to be my favorite) had to back out at the last minute, and I talked DH into letting me keep her. So I'm deep in the heart of puppyland and puppy training. I want to sign her up for a training class, but I'm not sure I have the time!
DH and I signed up for a childbirth class, a pediatric first aid class, and a CPR class - we're on a list for a breastfeeding class (they want partner to come, but that seems odd to me) and a baby care class. I'm sure we'll get into those, but not sure when yet. Am thinking about a few others - baby massage (anything to stop the crying!), introducing pets to baby (we have 3 dogs), and a 3 hour class on massage and comfort techniques for DH to use with me in labor - but not sure we can get in the classes pre-baby. I guess I should have signed up earlier.
I do have a lovely trip to the Caribbean planned for Memorial Day weekend with the girls - a last pre-baby trip. I'm expecting my nursery furniture the first week of June, so that will be nice. Not sure I have any other news - I'm just plodding along and hanging in there!6 IUIs - BFN
