Secondary IF ladies November

New thread for the new month!

Sam..No worries! I was not upset by your post. Like I said, just hormonal and got sick of hearing about my large-ness every hour! LOL! Yeah I am huge for 9 weeks but I am only going to get larger!

Stacey..Thanks! This pg is definately different than my last one. I keep saying since it was so easy last time that this is my payback with the m/s and all!

Andrea..Hope you are doing well!

Hello to everyone else. Another busy day coming up so I have got to go get into the shower and get moving!

Baby, thanks for keeping us organised. I hear ya on the size comments, I had two friends over for dinner on sat night, both of whom know about my IF battles. Regardless of that, one said to me 'wow you look like you need to go on a diet' and the other said 'are you sure its not twins?' Bah. Who needs enemies, right? And to be honest, I haven't gained much weight at all! 4kg (dont know what that is in pounds) which is not bad for 20 weeks. But my belly is big and they just like to tease me about it I suppose.

Hi Stacey, Tia, Sam and Karen. Am dashing with LOADS of work to do before DS has soccer, I have a client meeting and then DS has his first school uniform fitting! (sniff.) Do they allow you to cry at those?

Love, A x

A,
Fun fun. busy busy. I have 3 in soccer now. It gets challenging!

Baby, hopefully the m/s will go away fast like it came. Mine was pretty much gone with the twins by 9-10w. Hang in there!

Off to the office, check in later.

Andrea..That is too funny! DH grandmother told me the other night that I look like I am about 5 months along! I had to laugh because she is right! I carried very very small with DS and I was probably about this size when I was 5 months along with him! LOL!

Stacey..Thanks! The nausea seems to be letting up a bit and is not constant the past few days. I was thinking of your comment the other day. I went to the maternity store yesterday and got to talking with the lady that worked there. I told her I was having twins. She wanted to know if they ran in our families. I said no, so of course she wanted to know how we got twins. I just looked at her and said "Use your imagination." She bugged her eyes at me and was not sure what to say to that!

Hello to everyone else. I have to get into the shower soon so that we can go out and do groceries in a bit. DS is sooooo tired from not napping for the last 3 days! Hoping for a long nap for both of us this afternoon!

Baby,
Yep, people are nosey. It's the curiosity. LIke really what does it matter. In the twins club I belong to there are lots of moms that have twins naturally and that used to drive them crazy when they got asked that question.

Sick with a crappy something over here. Just never ends. FIgures just in time for the 2ww.

Stacey..Sorry you are sick! You are having a tough season so far over there!

Yes I love it when perfect strangers feel like they have a right to ask personal questions! LOL! I am not ashamed to say we did IVF but I don't feel I owe anyone an explanation as to why I am carrying twins!

Off to do groceries and get some other crap done! Fun times..NOT!

Have you seen the "I'm pregnant... what's your excuse" shirt? I saw it on ebay and it made me laugh. As for the questions about IF meds (I get that for age, not for twins) I don't know how to respond there.... I can't believe how some people can be so clueless.

While it's tempting to say "No, why do you ask -- do you need a referral?" that would not be the truth. So you can drop the 'no' and just ask "Why do you ask?" or "Why do you ask, do you need fertility meds?"

I'm behind in reading all the posts (seems chronic). DH ate my lunch for today last night (no comment).

My 'big' u/s is next Monday afternoon. I'm wishing I could just sleep until then. I think the clock change is making me want to hibernate. ;-)

Cheers,
-tia

Hey all.....

Baby - people are being way too nosey...a aternity store clerk asking those question ...please what is it her business. I'm glad the m/s is letting up.

Tia - Good luck on your u/s next week. I know how that works with counting the days until that scan. I am sure all will be just fine.

Stacey - I'm sorry your sick. It seems like the last time you were in the 2ww you were sick too...maybe your allergic to the 2ww... ..I am praying for you everyday girl.

Andrea - Glad all is well with you. Go ahead and cry at the uniform inspection...I know I would too.

AFM- I am sick sick sick!!! I have a terrible chest cold thing and I have to be on antibiotics and steroids for my asthma because I can barely breathe ...It sucks...I was so paranoid to go on them because of the baby but I know if I can't breathe the baby can't so the pros outweigh the cons but it still makes me nervous. I hope this goes away quickly. As for the pg I feel great !!! Adam is one active baby lately...and I am loving it. I am 22 weeks now. 2 more weeks and he will be considered viable should anything go wrong. (which of course won't ) ...I went baby shopping Saturday and shopped like a maniac. This child needs no more clothes until he's 1!!! We had a blast!!

OK off to work...even though I'm sick I still have to work when all I want to do is go to bed ...oh well..thats the life of a working Mom!!

(((HUGS)))

Sam

Thanks ladies. Yes people are nosey and moronic at times. Personally I just do not feel like I need to explain to anyone how I got here, let alone a perfect stranger! If it is someone I know I just say IVF and leave it at that! Very few know we used DE and I plan on keeping it that way!

I am definately feeling less nausea the last few days. My new problem is my appetite. Seriously no matter what I eat I am still hungry! At night I am dying at like 2 am! I feel like I could eat the sheets! I try eating a yogurt or something before bed but apparently it is just not enough! I refuse to get up in the middle of the night to eat though! I just will not do it! But it is amazing that I am this hungry and cannot fill up no matter what I eat!

DS is apparently giving up on naps too. Bummer because he really still needs one and so do I! LOL! He has gone four days without a nap. He ends up in bed around 7 because he cannot stay awake any longer and then is up before the sun! Hopefully it is just a phase that will pass soon!

Baby, LOL! I haven't had too many nosey pg questions yet but I sure had my fair share of nosey IF questions. You know ... the 'when are you having another baby' and 'have you thought about adoption' and 'just relax and it will happen' variety. Sigh ...

Sam and Stacey, sorry that you are both struggling with the lurgy. Whatever you do, don't sneeze on the screen okay? I don't want to catch it.

Stacey, I really do wish you everything of the best this cycle. I know you must be feeling bruised and exhausted from years and years of this but ... at the very least I am glad it has brought us together. I hope with all my heart you get those two stripes this month!

Tia, dying to hear the news from your u/s when you are ready.

AFM DS had his uniform fitting yesterday. It was so surreal. I mean, here is this little baby boy who I only gave birth to ... what was it, two weeks ago? And he is already in a school uniform?! He insisted on wearing it to pre-school today. I told him one day he would be dying to get rid of it but for now, his enthusiasm is just too sweet for words.

Will be back tomorrow. Till then, love to all. A x
