Do any of you teachers get fertility coverage? I am in Texas and teachers are losing jobs like crazy, so I don't know if I could find another job even if I wanted one. But we paid out of pocket for all the cycles that led to our first miracle. We are going to start trying for number two soon, and I'm curious if any teachers get their treatment covered?

I am not 100% certain but I would be willing to bet money on teachers here in NJ having some sort of coverage. The state law is over 50 employees and not a not for profit. So I guess they could be considered not for profit, however I doubt they don't have any coverage.

I'm in Los Angeles as well. Teacher insurance here sucks big time. It covered my diagnostics (50%), but no medication and no treatment.

I am a teacher in SC and our insurance with Blue Cross covers up to $15,000 per year. It covers diagnostics, medicine, and treatment. They prefer you to use the generic versions of the drugs. It has paid a percentage for my bloodwork and diagnostics. My clomid prescription which I start tomorrow, was under $20. I think BCBS pays 70% as far as IVF and other treatments go. I know that IVF and other treatments must be preapproved. The meds had to be preapproved also. Thought my husbands insurance was great until all of my testing was denied by Cigna. It was not Cigna's fault I guess just what plan his company decided to go with. I think that is alot of the problem.....the companies!!!
