We live in Florida. Hubby works for the School Board, we have Coventry Health Care, HMO. Unlimited lifetime for IVF, no co-pay for office visits or lab work.
It seems working for the County or the city in a large business is the best in terms of insurance coverage. The group
insurance is truly the best. try and get a job with the county or city, the more employees they have, the better the
group insurance. Coventry does Not cover IVF with Individual Coverage. However, if you go to Labcorp- lab work is free and flu shots are free as well on all Individual Ins. plan.
Good Luck![]()

Hello! -
New to this site and to the world of infertility. I've just been referred to an RE and have my first appt. next month. I have Aetna through work and when I called member services, they told me they only covered diagnosis of infertility and treatment of it but did not cover anything to do with IVF/ART. I re-read my plans benefits and it's a bit confusing because it states that IVF/ART is covered if it's deemed "Medically Necessary" or if there is a supplemental rider for infertillity. Unfortunately because it is a group plan, I can add the rider and don't know what would qualify as "Medically Necessary"....guess I'll have to chat w/my RE about that when the time comes.

Not all Aetna plans cover IVF or any infertility treatment-like I have emphasized before, your employer is basically paying for you to be covered and they choose whether or not you should have fertility coverage-if you have it, thank your employer, not the insurance company. Companies determine benefits, not the actual insurance company. My employer does not pay enough of my premium to include any fertility coverage, so I am stuck paying for it out of pocket.
It all depends where you live and who you work for as to whether you have any IF coverage.

Bank Of America has awesome infertility coverage as I have talked to others who work for them- plus my younger sister has worked for them for years and though she is not TTC right now, she is already 35 and I told her she needs to look into something and not wait much longer as it is harder. She is lucky that she probably has IF coverage so when she starts TTC, she can do IVF if necessary. I hate it!
