Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA but we matched with a birthmom in NYC who has an 8 m.o. son. We are in the process of adopting him.
I know so many moms on this board have adopted - I think of you all. We thought we'd have the baby on 12/5 but now it looks like it will be the following week. Hope it all works out!
The *scariest* thing I've done lately is get a letter from my oncologist saying I have a "normal life expectancy." Requesting that was really, really hard. Getting the letter was really, really emotional. I thought this step in the adoption process would cause me to have a nervous breakdown.

I would take a copy of that letter in put it in a small sterling silver frame as a reminder.DD Fia, Ten going on 15!!

Very exciting. Congrats. 4 of our 5 children are adopted and I think it is a wonderful way to make a family.
