Anyone else in Ottawa, Ontario?

I'm thinking of changing my RE and am wondering how many there are to choose from ... and if anyone has had a good experience with their RE. (as good as any IF experience can possibly be)

Hi, your post was awhile ago, so I don't know if you're still checking, but...

My DH and I underwent IVF treatment in Ottawa during 2007. It failed, but we were blessed with a natural pregnancy the next cycle. I'm back here because we're about to go back to the fertility clinic to try for a second miracle.

The first time around, we had Dr. Min, who was wonderful. It was a group effort though, and we saw all of the doctors during the treatment phase. They all have different personalities, so it depends on what you're looking for--but they were all professional, compassionate, and I really felt like we were always getting their best. Even though our IVF failed (and I was told I would never conceive!) Our experiences with the doctors was excellent.

Good Luck!

Hi Dawson! Thanks for your reply. I guess I was just wondering what else might be in our general area if my treatments fail. I like all the docs there ... I've seen a few as well when I've gone for my 2 IUIs. The nurses are also very very nice. The "front-line staff" as I call them could be a little nicer. They are the first faces you see when you walk in - it would be nice to be greeted with a hello and a smile. I don't get this very often... and the first time I was ever there, one of the girls at the desk was taking orders from her friends for her 'cigarette run'. I didn't find this very professional at all. Congratulations on your natural miracle and I wish you the best of luck with your next treatment cycle! I'd love to hear your progress if you're willing to share! Take care - lots of baby dust being sent your way!!
