Weaning and AF question...

I got my first postpardom AF on September 4th. I was still breastfeeding my son at that point.

Since then I have weaned my son and contacted my RE to start the process to get my totcycles, however I haven't got an AF since. Considering my RE will not let me have a monitoring cycle till my son has been weaned for 4 weeks is it normal for my cycle to be longer then normal like this after breastfeeding and weaning?

I am just trying to figure out if I should talk to my doctor tomorrow (I have a nutritionist appointment in the same office) about being put on progesterone to bring on AF or not. I have been regular prior to giving birth to my son and breastfeeding and I don't want to force my body into a pregnancy it may not be ready for.

Any insight would be helpful! Thank you!

Sometimes it takes a couple cycles to get back into a normal rhythm. It probably wouldn't hurt to ask the doctor but it should even out before too long. Of course, that's too long when you're waiting to cycle!

I didn't get my period until after I weaned, but I've been on a regular 29-day cycle since then.

Thank you for your help. I have got my period since I posted (38 day cycle) this and I am now on a monitoring cycle. At this point I just sit back and relax and let my RE do my worrying.... if that is possiable.
