Help! Need Domperidone quickly.

My baby is 8 weeks old and we are losing our milk supply. I really hope that someone knows how to purchase Domperidone and receive it faster than 7-10 days. I found one site where I can get it in that time frame, but that will probably be too late. I have been using a hospital grade breast pump and taking Fenugreek to try to save our milk supply to no avail. We had a great supply until last week. The LC says that in the first 6 weeks the milk supply is regulated by hormones and not so much how much the baby removes. Conner has a ineffective suck. After 6-8 weeks she said the supply becomes baby driven (what he can remove). So that is why we are losing the milk. This whole situation is heartbreaking and I want to try to fight to keep my milk. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

One desperate moomy,

Crystelle

ask your OB to prescribe a drug called Reglan (also called Metclopromide). it helps to increase your supply. it's a relatively cheap drug, and you can get it filled that day. i hope that pumping also helps! i'd be just as heartbroken if my milk supply went down! i hope that it helps for you!

Sarah gave the best advice, I too took the reglan until my dom came. Reglan has a horrible side effect of devastating fatigue though, I coulnd't wait to get off it. It did work as well as the dom though. Your OB can call it in for you and you can get it same day, I did. Good luck.

As it turns out I am allergic to Reglan. About five years ago I was given that drug in the ER and had a really bad reaction. :0(

Keep your baby at your breast as much as possible even when not nursing. Nurse as much as you can (encourrage snacking) until your RX comes in.
