Hello Im 30 and been ttc for over 6 to 7 years on and off. I say on and off because this has been going on for a while with ex mates. I been married now for over 2 years and have now been ttc for a 1 year and still no luck. I also have been diagnosed with lupus and mixed connective tissue. I was diagnosed with lupus 11 years ago and at the time of diagnoses thats when my lupus was at its worst. After I got things back under control I havent had any major promblems with my lupus just a few aches and pains and some times inflamation. Just this past year of Dec. I was diagnosed with POF another bomb. My RE told me I had a a fsh-34 and AMH-0.5. Devastated I was escpecially because knowing that I have been to several gyno in the past and have never once throughout my test have anyone one of my Doctors ever mention this, and if they would have maybe the things could have been prevented. Well its been a couple of months and Im still not convinced that I have POF. So I decided to do lots of research and remedies which Im going to mention. I did get the talk from my RE about ivf w/ DE being my only option, and anything else would pretty much be useless and with the cost of ivf that was definatley not in my budget plans, and so it wasnt an option. My RE made the desicion to place me on HRT and provera to start my cycles back. (Oh I forgot to mention that my cycles had started becoming irregular when I was 23 after stopping depo. I havent been able to get them under control yet, they have went from normal to missing 3 to 4 to 9 months then bam there it is only lasting for 2 to maybe 3 days then it MIA again. One gyno I did see in the past did put me on provera to kick start my cycle and a round of clomid for 3 months at 50mg. and it still didnt produce ovulation, but I did get my cycles back for a short period of time. Ok back to current. Once he decided to pt me on HRT I asked him besides helping my bones will this hrt help any of my fertility promblems and he just repplied that it want do anything to help or prevent pregnancy. So with that I just took the prescription and went home. I did a small amount of research at that time and found alot of pof 'ers were having success with IUI and some were on HRT patch with success. Once I seen this and learned that IUI wasnt has expensive as ivf I quickly called my RE office and spoke with his nurse and asked about putting me on the patch, and trying the IUI procedures, of course I had to wait on a call back. When she did call it wasnt at all good. She told me that the doctors said that a procedures that I could not try it want work, and about the patches she started with why do you want patches, I told her I heard they were better and could possibly help. She then said well with the patch you would never get a cycle, so I just said well I will just stick with what I have which was estradiol. But later I did do more research on the patches and found that you do still have cycles, I dont understand why would the nurse tell me such a things. My guess is that they didnt want me to try anything else differently that will get me closer to BFP than doing it with ivf and DE. Fustrated again Im now trying to get my fsh lowered and finding a new RE thats willing to trry other options before shooting me off to IVF. Now Im about to list some of the things that I have researched if someone have any information that can help or assist I ask please share. Oh also I would like to hear of someone who has had success with natural pregnancy or using herbal remedies or life changes. At this point IVF is not of interest to me because I cant afford it and I feel that I should try others options first.

I have found that most people that have been diagnosed with POF have been on BCP and the main BC I seen of people using is Depo. I think this suppresses the olvaries so much that it loses it function after just sitting.

I have found that some POF'ers have had some sucess with clomid, but my thing is that clomid and femara raises fsh how will that help POF if fsh or already high.

I have found some POF'ers have used IUI procedures with stems of other medication and have had success. I know some had high fsh of 11,13, 15 but not as high as mine which is 34 so I dont know am I a canidate for IUI. Has anyone had this procedure done with extremely high fsh or know someone who has had it.

I have noted alot of POF'ers who have went through IUI and some through IVF procedures and dont conceive but afterwards a couple of months later they conceive naturally. I think this is some how tied to the medication. Some how I feel it gived the ovalries a wake up push.

I have found some people having trouble with conceiving, promblem with menustral, pcos, pof, have found success in herbal remedies like vitex, Dong quai, Cq10, wheat grass, dhea, Maca, co hosh, and royal jelly.

Well I can say that I have tried the vitex and it didnt help me with my cycles. I didnt get one at all. I try the Dong quai and I cant say it helped me, besides I stayed hot all day. I just purchased wheat grass tablet havent started yet the pills or extremely large!! I also have purchased the royall jelly and dhea and havent started those yet. Im still reading but I might go out and get the cq10, maca, and co hosh. Im not planning on taking all of this at once, but I am going to take one of them for now. I got a appointment with my Rheaumy tomorrow Im going to ask her about the dhea and see what she think before I take it, because I have read that this helps alots with lupus patients, and this seems like this could be a part of my promblems. I did read that lupus people do tend to have very low dhea, and this could be help me, so I know this may definatley be something that I would try.

SWOOOO..... Sorry this is so long Im hoping this will help and if someone got something that could help me please write or email me....
