Gymboree! Gymbo! Gymbucks! Consumerism at its best. Buy some and then buy some more and you earn bucks to buy more! But wait...you need to buy it pre-tax and you need to add to your order in order to make this order fit those Gymbucks! Get it? Yes, it is especially confusing. Designed so that you spend so much time obsessing over what to buy, trying to buy whole outfits and trying to do the math that you miss the fact that they completely sucked you in to buying way more than you ever dreamed you would need! Or than you actually do need. Yep, been there, done that! I was getting so bad I was shopping on LA, Ebay, and Consignment shops, collecting treasures in all sizes for my two. It became an obbsession, a blessing for something to do with my spare time, then it became a curse, taking over my life. I would get depressed when the new lines came out! It is so overwhelming. How can you catch up buying all the Gymboree when they have so many new lines coming out so often? Then suddenly, I realized they can only wear so much! And we have way too much! And I have a problem-an addiction! And my buying was not that methodical. I would get so caught up in getting a deal I was buying stray pieces here and there they I did not like as much as the non clearance items and I had nothing to go with these pieces and so, I decided to stop the buying madness.

I have been good for several months now and Dh has been so proud of me. Gymboree sober!!! Then, ironically, since my choices were limited in what I could do with my two during the day by myself, the call of Gymboree Play and Music rescued me! So, we signed up for 2 classes this month and we get to go to 4 play gyms a week! Wahhoooowee! The cost is stupid, but it was so needed and we decided to do it for a month and then decide what to do next, either find something else or sign up for only 1 class the following month. It was exciting! And something to do with our time during the week while Daddy is working. So, then I earned 4 Gymbucks, thus the evil beast returned!! How could I not use these?? I told myself I was only going to buy fall outfits, and only matching sets for DD especially since boy stuff is almost always blue, green, tan or red and it is easy to match separates. Also, since there is not really something that compares to girl's leggings, for boys, I needed something for DS. I can always put DD in comfy leggings and then I struggle to find something comfy for DS, so I decided to look for boy leggings or something like that. I told myself I was only going to spend up to what I needed for my Gymbucks and not go crazy. So, off I went tonight and I think I did well. Here is what I got:

DD got:

Scotty Dog Velour Jacket & Pants
Shirt to go with it
Curlies and Scotty Dog pony tail holders to match
Pink matching Hat
Scotty Dog sweater...too die for!!!
Brown cord overalls..
Pink cotton l/s onsie with ruched neck
Princess Tiara

DS got:
Romper long sleeve/full leg - red next best thing to leggings!!
Romper long sleeve/full leg - blue
Navy shirt with fake double sleeve look
Grey shirt with fake double sleeve look
Firehouse Dog shirt with fake double sleeve

So, a total of 15 items for $109.58. Not too bad!

So, the beast is back a little. I must contain it. I have decided that total sobriety may not be in the cards for me, so partial sobriety is better than totally crazy. Moderation, moderation, moderation!!

Please tell me that this stuff you bought was a sz 4t or 5t and will be headed to the LA bd in the near future?!

Do you earn Gymbucks at the Gymbo music/movement classes? Really? Who knew?!

Ah yes...that horrible beast, I know him oh so well Not that my problem is a Gymbo one, rather a shopping for childrens clothing on a whole

Looks like you did well....keep that chant going and you'll be fine

Hello? Misty is right! Where's all your auctions? You've got the best clothes and the sizes that people want! We could actually PAY for Gymboree

    ...and further fulfill your addictions...

Okay, sorry, Misty! We bought size 3T. The pants in 4T are too long yet. But soon we will be there! The other day I went to buckle up the high chair straps at breakfast and they would not fit!! I had to loosen them as they must of had a growth spurt while they were sleeping! They are giants!! Gymbo runs big, too!
Yes, Gymbucks with classes! Just when you beat the clothing addiction, they hand you a zillion Gymbucks!

Kooka, I hear you! I am so glad I have been able to resist the call of PP. I have carefully steered away from those LAs because once I get the PP bug we will be living out of a grass hut! And I would NOT do well without central air and heat!! Oh no!! LOL! Resistence is NOT futile! I have to say DD has one PP shirt and I love it!!

Flea, I want to have an auction this week. But it might not happen until the weekend or the beginning of next week, depending on when I get my butt in gear! Right now all my time is going to blogging! LOL! Thanks for the compliments! I am just so good at procrastinating! I think I could be a professional procrastinator. But who would pay me to do it???

    Let's go girl...I've got LA-BUCKS to spend

...now if this procrastinator can just get to the PO, I might even be able to invoice!

Honey, I feel your pain. I need a Gymbo vacation. I am starting to get obsessive too.

I just spent my 7 (yes seven) Gymbucks today. I (shamelessly) earned them all...no play and music around here. And i only have one kid. Did I make you feel better yet?????

I don't even live in the country...geez I don't even live in the same hemisphere Still doesn't stop my addiction. No problems "spending" 4 gymbucks...could have spent more if I had them Actually now I remember, I think my SIL has a couple floating around...must ring her

Don't do it, Burra! Don't get more it will be your downfall !!
I am sure I could have easily spend 15 of them! Yikes! I shudder at the thought of storing that much clothing!!
