I'm sitting here just soooo upset (sad upset) over something that someone posted to me. She actually used the punch smilie like she wanted to punch me. There's a chorus of a song that I like that talks about woman's independence, and I mentioned it, and she got mad at me and showed me the punch smilie. Maybe I don't know the full meaning of the song, I'm not sure. But still. She didn't have to attack me.

I had to check what you were referencing. I think you took the punch smilie the wrong way. I took it to mean she was being funny with you. Like she was amused at your take on that song. You are probably a little sensitive due to your delicate/hormonal condition right now .

Oh, I hope I just took it the wrong way. My feelings are really hurt! I am pretty gosh darned sensitive lately.

I agree with Kylie, hon. Her words totally didn't match the smiley the way you took it. Plus I have read other posts from her and she is not a mean person. ((hugs))

Thinking more about it, maybe it was a really creative use of the smilies? As in, if I were sitting next to you and you made a great pun I might gently punch you on the shoulder and say "Ooh, GOOD one Stace!"

Well, I just changed my response saying that I hope her punch was in jest. I really hope that it was.

I feel so silly right now. The punch was not meant for me. I was like in tears thinking someone wanted to punch me. haha

I know this was awhile ago...but i really didn't mean the punch to you...It was more like punching myself for not thinking of it that way.....I would never think of you that way...

I realize that now, lilpink. That's the problem with the written word - there's no inflection and it's hard to judge tone sometimes. haha Without not having really known you too well yet, I didn't know if you were maybe a member of one of those groups that hates all rap music, or what. You know how certain people, if they have their own set of strict values they abide by, and if someone posts something they don't happen to agree with, the jump all over the person? But nah, now I know that wasn't the case at all! And in fact, you had even already said so on the thread itself. Made me feel soooo much better! And this was all written before that. Yeah, I mistakenly thought you were judging me for listening to a rap song. haha
