I'm not sure what to do. My dd has a friend who lately has been , hmmm what's a good word to use here, childish. Yes, I realize that she is a child, but she certainly is not behaving appropriately for a girl of 9.

We had hoped to get out to the celebrations being held for Canada. We drove over, parked at work, and walked over to start and check out the displays, and games. We were there all of 10 mins when it began to pour. The kids wanted to do home. Ds HATES being wet, so he was fussing the whole way to the car and then home. The did get to eat some cotton candy - their only consolation.

Two weeks ago, I got a cell phone. The purchase went well. The sales people were very knowledgable, patient (I had DS with me, and he gets bored quickly!) and helped me immensly. Apparently once you sign the contract, the customer service disappears. For the last three weeks, we have done nothing but go go go!

So, last week, our ds was diagnosis with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. This doesn't surprise me, this is what I suspected. I don't have the actual report in hand, which might help me with some of what I am struggling with.

After listening to the news today, hearing the awful news that little Tori Stafford is likely dead, I started to be thankful, thankful that my beautiful dd is alive, well and safe in my arms today. To life my spirits, I started a list of things I and THANKFUL for.

With the long weekend, we have no sports activities for a few days, which gives us the rare opportunity to choose and do an activity as a family. Since we wanted to do something the kids would enjoy, we opted for the local park. It has some animals (rabbits, goats, sheep, peacocks, lamas etc) with a small stream filled with ducks.

My dd has not ever danced competetively. I'm not sure that I would want her too. I've watched her dance in rec classes - they are undisciplined, and she completely lacks focus. We have seriously been considering not enrolling her in dance next year as a result.

So my baby brother put in an offer on a house last night. My mother just called to tell me it was accepted. So, it looks as though he's going to own his first home. I'm very proud of him. He's worked hard for it, and I'm sure he will enjoy it.
