We took a picnic lunch to the arboretum today. Dh didn't have his class before lunch this morning, so he was home an hour early. It was nice to be able to get out and relax for a bit! We spread out our denim blanket and ate sandwiches, chips, apples, cucumbers by the pond. We watched the turtles and ducks swim around. We walked back home and then dh went back to school.

I stayed outside and watered all our plants. Our cherry tomato plants are growing like crazy!! Brooklyn and Blake's bean plants (we planted them for FHE a couple weeks back) are shooting up and it'd been fun to teach them about what we need to do to take care of our plants. I let Brooklyn and Blake color on the walkway with sidewalk chalk for a little while before we had to go in for naps. I must have jinxed myself because Brooklyn was my restless one today and never ended up falling asleep. It drives me crazy because the whining never stops- I need a tissue, I need water, I'm soakin' wet (what Brooklyn says when she pees in her Pull Up), I want this, I want that, I need my blankets on, etc.!!!!! GRRRRRRRR! I have to admit that most of the time I give in, just to keep the asker from waking the whole bunch!

After Blake woke up, we headed out to Babies R Us to see if they carried a specific highchair that I had been looking at for Gavin. It's practically just the top half of the highchair that you can strap to a chair. So more than just a booster, but doesn't take up the space like a highchair does. BRU didn't have it, so we tried next door at WalMart. They didn't carry it either, so we headed out to Target Greatland. Cha-ching! They had it, so I bought it! I can't wait to set it up and try Bean out in it! The kids ate their dinner well and then we went outside to pass the time til dh got home (Thursdays are late nights, 7pm). The kiddos jumped on the trampoline for awhile and as soon as dh got home, we went inside for baths. I also gave Bean a bath. Poor 'lil guy- his bath schedule is so unpredictable!!! It's like whenever he starts smelling like a foot, then I bathe him!

Oh, and one more thing- Gavin and Blake had matching outfits today! So, so, so cute!!! I love dressing Brooklyn and Blake in coordinating outfits (as much as I can, it's much harder now that they are older), but I LOVE dressing Blake and Gavin in matching clothes!!!
