Shopping with four kids, and event in itself

I haven't felt like blogging lately, and wanted to write about our Shopping Cart Incident at Wallyworld from Thursday night. It was always crazy when we take all the kids out errand running. Our first mistake was going to Wal-Mart. I really, really hate that store. It is a super center and so big, we are wiped by the time we leave there. We think we are saving time by getting our groceries and housewares done at once, but I bet anything it takes way longer then if we went to Target and a grocery store.DH and I each had a cart, I had Ava in mine and went off with Ellie to look for an Easter dress, of course they had none since it was 3 days before the holiday. DH had the boys and met me near the shoes. I wanted to get two of the kids rubber boots. Nathan was riding shotgun under the cart, and DH warned him he should get out. But then said make sure your fingers don't go near the wheels. [B]SCREECH!!!![SIZE=7] That was the sound of the cart coming to a halt in the shoe aisle. Nathan, sure enough, put his finger into the wheel part and tore the nail of his pinky finger almost completely off. It bent back to the cuticle. He was screaming, and we must have fit right in the store, because no one batted an eye.
We fled the store and went to urgent care. He was such a brave fella. The doctor was so nice, she had DH stay with Nate while I took the others out to the waiting room. DH does way better in these situations, and he owed me for my solo trip to have Ava's catheter put in for her urine sample.
Ellie was crying her eyes out for Nathan and was so scared for him.
You could hear him crying from the waiting room. They gave him 3 injections into the bone of his pinky to numb it, then she put a tiny stitch on his pinky to hold the nail down. The nail will die, and she isn't sure if it will ever grow back.
We go see his ped on Friday to have the stich removed. The doctor gave him a little stuffed lizard, and he has been carrying it around with him everywhere this week.
He really liked this doctor, because he keeps talking about her. So, too little too late, we have new ground rules when shopping, and need to have a little more control of them. They are great if you go one on one, but together, it can be mayhem.

Ellie lost her two bottom teeth this weekend. So now four in the last 3 weeks. I am going broke!![]()
I have to tell Donavan's teacher I need to go from 3 days a week for school to two. We need to budget for another crappy month. I would pull him out completely but he just loves it. This just really, really sucks.
Still no word from the insurance company. The fire was over a month ago.
