Is this a false positive or am I pregnant?

Hi there. This is my 1st blog. I took a 10,000 unit HCG trigger injection 16 days ago and am 15 days post ovulation. I had a positive pregnancy test this morning (it came up straight away). I've searched the net and it seems it takes 12 days for HCG to leave the system so that's encouraging but I'm still nervous and don't want to get my hopes up. Could this be a false positive?

Any insights welcome.

    I suggest calling your OB but I would say it sounds pretty good that you have a legit positive pg test. Congrats!

    I had a positive test 13dpo, and it was not the HCG! they said a rule is 1 day per 1000 unit so it should be out of your system by day 10. On top of that, i would expect it to have been quite weak at 15dpo, and if it was a false positive, it would have taken longer to appear. I am pretty sure that is a BFP! congrats!!! Keep us updated!

    It's possible, but unlikely that it is a false positive. Although it is metabolized differently by everyone, Simmone's rule is correct. HCG left my system pretty consitently by 8 days past trigger. Congrats! Good luck!
