  2. hardest week of my life

    by , 01-26-2013 at 09:36 PM
Hi All, this week has been the hardest of my life. My mother passed away on Monday.
It's really hard that I am right in the middle of cycle. I know she would have wanted me to continue so we are but it is really hard. Just trying to keep myself strong.
I am on the 2nd day of Menopur and Bravelle. By Friday I will have my first ultrasound to check on my eggs.
    Love to all.

  3. Trying for baby #2 (IVF)

    by , 01-25-2013 at 12:49 PM
So dh and I have decided to try for baby #2. We've gone to the RE office and signed all the paperwork and started the blood test. The nurse asked me when my AF would arrive and I said I was expecting it on Jan 10th or 12th based on my last period being on the 12th of December and my average periods being about 30 days or so. Well, the 10th and 12th came and went and AF was a no show. We had an appointment on Jan 21st with the RE and he mercifully prescribed Provera to bring on AF. This has only ...

  4. Sometimes Don't You Feel Like We Need an Infertility Press Conference?

    by , 01-24-2013 at 09:59 AM
    (http://licthebook.com http://laughingisconceivable.com)

There are times when you're trying to conceive--especially if you're going through fertility treatments-- when you really don't want to share any info with anybody. It's just too depressing, too complicated, too stressful, and just, well, too exhausting. Why can't we do like the President of the United States does? Why can't we give as much information as our public needs to know on our terms. (Truth be told, our public needs ...

  6. Hcg trigger shot

    by , 01-20-2013 at 03:10 PM
Hi, I am new to this blog, but hopefully can get some advice! I completed my second cycle of clomid on on 1/5, had two good follicles and triggered on 1/9. I had an iui on 1/11. I tested 1/18 and got a bfp, but tested 1/19 and today and the line has gotten really super faint. I am bummed to see it go away, but wondering if anyone experienced the same and still got a true bfp? I am supposed to start my period Thursday and thought for sure that if I was pregnant a pregnancy test would definitely be ...

We have been trying for 18 mos and have had 7 IUIs - no success. We are about to start IVF for first time. Any insight on what is a good amount of eggs to produce for retrieval? Any suggestions on how I can improve my chances on the # of eggs my ovaries prepare?? THANKS!
