  1. Our safe small town school?

    by , 10-27-2008 at 05:44 PM
Our little school district made the top story on the news tonight....we had all heard the rumors about the story...but I had no idea it went this far. This is just tragic...what this man has put this child's family thru, and his own family thru is simply horrible...

  2. Voting conscience

    by , 10-27-2008 at 04:35 PM
Sarah Palin says she'll help parents with SN kids, but her party's health plan involves our family in particular not having coverage at all, since DS has too many pre-existing conditions for us to get private (at least non-employer-covered) benefits, and we don't qualify for medicaid or social security. Plus, the Reps tend to not care about civil liberties at all... i.e. 4th Amendment going down the drain courtesy of our current POTUS. So I just can't bring myself to vote for them.

  3. New days off

    by , 10-27-2008 at 03:46 PM
The new bid started Saturday and the schedule didn't get fixed so my official days off are Sunday and Monday, but a friend of mine is working for me Tuesdays and I'm working for her Sundays. So there's a solution for now, which is ideal for me and my friend, but not the center as a whole since there's no one closing on Sundays. It was funny yesterday; one of the agents told the person at my job level who was the latest Sunday shift, "So, you're going to be here by yourself?" and she said, ...

  4. 6 days until the half

    by , 10-27-2008 at 01:30 PM
    The countdown has begun...

I feel ready, got my longest run of almost 12 miles two weeks ago, then tapered to 8 and then 6, with 'maintenance' runs during the week. Different strategy than last time, we'll see how it goes. Right now my biggest concern is dodging the pinkeye, fevers, colds/cough that my kids are passing from one to the next. E has held out so far, hope I can too! Also, it snowed today Hoping for above 30 degrees and no viruses I am already ...

  5. WW update

    by , 10-27-2008 at 10:37 AM
I am down a total of 17 lbs so far. I am pretty happy about that. Some days I get really frustrated because it seems so slow, but then other days I remember slow is a lifestyle change...Hopefully the habits I am developing will stick!

  6. Neglected Blog

Sometimes I don't write because my life is boring. Then I don't write because I'm so swamped I can't find the time.

The stomach flu has circulated our house. I'm the only one that hasn't had it. I hope I don't get it!

Jacob ran a fever all weekend. He's supposed to have ear surgery (tubes) on Thursday, OCt. 30, but not sure if they will do it now. Waiting on the nurse.

Still don't have halloween costumes. The boys wore their Dash costume to the ...

Sort of busy weekend! It rained most of Saturday. Dh and I spent a long time cleaning out closets and throwing away things. We filled a whole big wheelie garbage bin - but you can't tell, really! We need to get new beds for the twins so we're trying to make room.
Yesterday afternoon was the kick-off meeting for Campbell's Daisy Scout troop. I posted this on the 2003 board but I need to add it here to remember. Another mother looked at Campbell, looked at me, and said "Maddie likes ...

  9. Had such a great day

    by , 10-26-2008 at 09:11 PM
X called and I met Chase and him at his house and then we went to a parking lot and watched Chase ride his bike without training wheels. He rode it so well. He is now able to make turns and circles etc... He did so well. i am so proud of him. I am also so very proud of X, that as an adult, he learned to ride a bike, just so that he could teach his son to ride. We then went to the park and then got ice cream. It was such a great day.
Doc called and he wants to take me to Ruth's Chris' steak ...

to f*a*c*e*b*o*o*k*. I didn't even realize that I had a profile on there until I started getting emails with people asking to be my friends. So I had to reset my password and was finally able to log in. I have found so many people!! I just got done chatting with a friend from high school, haven't spoken to her in over 13 years. I found an former co-worker that I lost touch with and have found a bunch of other classmates and relatives. I may have to sign up on m*y*s*p*a*c*e* now too, just to ...
