Well, we delivered at 37.5 weeks... Ian weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and Lilah weighed 5 lbs 15 oz. It was a c-section. I was due to have the c-s on Aug 11, but on Aug 9 my water broke and it was off to teh hospital witha towel between my legs! The operation was scary but I felt no pain and the babies were born that evening. I lost a lot of blood and Lilah had some fluid in her lings, but we all went home healthy and sound on the 4th day.
"Home" was ahotel where we lived for several weeks ...

  2. Too Cold.....

    by , 11-23-2008 at 03:13 PM
We have been in a deep freeze for days and days. It feels like January already and it is only November.

I hope it is warmer in January and February.

I want to grow up and be a snowbird.

  3. We are finally home

    by , 11-23-2008 at 01:12 PM
We got home yesterday after flying 36 hours from Vietnam to Tokyo to Dallas. We are so happy to be home. Last night I didn't really sleep as well as I would have liked. This morning Dh was feeding S and he said that it was strange to have him here. I said that it was a good strange. It has always been the two of us, and now we have the baby we always wanted.

I feel so privileged to be part of the club. I am so thankful beyond measure and so full of love. I just wish there ...

  5. Apple Sauce

    by , 11-22-2008 at 08:49 PM
I fed CJ apple sauce for the first time last night. She loved it! Mom helped me feed her towards the end so I could snap some pictures.

CJ didn't make too big of a mess.

I gave her some more today. She gets really mad if she's not fed fast enough.

  6. No matter what you do, I'll never love you

    by , 11-22-2008 at 06:10 PM
    He throws a punch
He bucks his head into my mouth
He says, "I'm going to kill everyone in this house."

His big brown eyes say, "Help me."
    He cries
He cries and cries and cries.

I can't stop my baby from crying.
No, he's not an infant. He doesn't need to be
    fed or changed or burped.
    He's seven.
He's seven years old and he's afraid of his
own shadow. He thinks he's a failure.
    He ...

  7. Number 10?

    by , 11-22-2008 at 10:16 AM
I think I'll stop counting them....

Another kidney stone is moving. Don't know if it's moving out or just moving around in the kidney. Been in pain since yesterday....now passing some blood. Called DH this morning to warn him I might need to go in to ER. He said he was busy and to call his mother.

I'm drinking water and riding it out for now. It's managable pain....maybe it's just another small stone I can pass at home.

  8. I thought moms don't get sick

by , 11-22-2008 at 10:09 AM (Day to Day Stuff!)
I have a cold. Not the plague, but a rather nasty cold. Caeden has it too, and Nicholas is just getting over it.

Would love to just nap, but Kevin is at work, so that isn't an option. I am trying to motivate myself to do a few things, and failing miserably.

my bed is sooooo calling my name.

  9. A better night at least!

    by , 11-22-2008 at 09:40 AM
This has not been a great week. I am struggling with fibro pain and have been...
Wed Ali had a pre K class through Parents As Teachers, at 3:30pm. My kids still nap. Ali could do ok without a nap, but not E, so the both nap still.
Wed we didn't take a nap since the class was during nap time. After the class we went to play and Burger King, we came home and I put the kids to bed. They were asleep by 8.
We usually go down for nap between 1-2 and they sleep until 4 sometimes ...

  10. And there will be SNOW

    by , 11-22-2008 at 06:02 AM
It's going to snow a little almost every day until Thanksgiving in PA! Sort of a snow and melt deal, sounds like.

Which is perfect. not enough to make it dangerous, but enough to make it feel wintry/Christmasy. I always hate the Thanksgivings in PA where it's 65 and sunny.

It's going to be jammed packed. Mom now found a historic train with Santa for us to go on Saturday. So it'll be the epic journey tonight, Sunday dinner tomorrow at grandma's, hang with Grandma
