  1. They won again..

Tonight both the 7th and the 8th grade won!! Courtney's team (the 8th grade) won 22-33!!!! This makes 2 night's in a row that the 8th grade won. Their record so far is 2-1.

Courtney is turning into a pretty good little wing guard! She got fouled tonight and got 2 foul shots. She didn't make either of them though which really surprised me, but she said she was just so nervous. It's the first time she's ever been fouled in a game and had the chance to take foul shots. I told ...

to see what TRUE reason Mr. Obama has for changing the Freedom of Information Act.

    My guess....

It is to make it easier for the Dems who want to try President Bush for war crimes.

I hope that Mr. Obama isn't that low and classless. Time will tell.......

  5. Some thoughts on it all...

    President Obama's inauguration...

The cost...160 million? In this economy? Compared to other presidents? INSANE! Oh I understand the importance, the significance, the historical difference...but it doesn't justify four times the cost. Not when tax payers are losing their jobs and can't make ends meet.

The Bushes...I cried when they left. Such a let down for a man who held this country together after 9/11. Does nobody remember that?

    Obama...I would rather ...

  6. Mr Bingle

When Santa left his shop one day he found a snowman near his sleigh. "you'll be my helper now," he said, and tapped the little fellow's head.

The snowman found that he could talk. "Look Santa, I can even walk!" And then he gave a little sigh... "Oh, how I wish I could fly!"

So Santa have him holly wings, then looking through his Christmas things, found ornaments the very size to make a pair of shining eyes.

    Then Santa ...

It was an extremely cold morning here so I went out to start the car and came right back in the house to find dd's friend K putting a figure skate on in the middle of my living room which has hardwood floors. dd was just telling her not to stand up when I walked in the room. There's a few small dings but no long scratches, thank goodness.

  8. Inauguaral ball notes...

What the heck happened to Mariah Carey's voice?? I love the song "Hero"...but she killed it.

Wasn't altogether impressed by Alicia Keys either. Another song I love...but she seemed to be straining to sing it.

Now Beyonce...on the other hand...knocked that baby out of the park! And she seemed so genuinuely touched by the moment, singing for the President and First Lady as they danced...it was beautiful.

  9. Susannah's take on the new president

    by , 01-21-2009 at 12:29 AM
She asked questions during the campaign, knew the candidates, and knew who I supported. When asked who she would pick for the next president, she would tell people that "we" were voting for John McCain.

On election day, she went with me to vote. She pushed the buttons. Because of that, in her mind, SHE voted. And when our guy lost, we had the talk about how supporting the president is the right thing to do, even if it wasn't our guy.

So today is the inaugeration, ...

  10. Totally a class act. You can't fake this. :)

I remember when the Clinton's left it was big news what they had taken and what the $$ amount was. I guess when you are respectful and have some tact, it doesn't make the news.

I also read that the China that was purchased is tradition, left at the white house for the new President and paid for by donations to the historic society... hmmm, that won't make news either, only how much it cost.

    I'm sooo tired of this...
