Our varsity team is competing this weekend at a big tournament, on Friday afternoon and all day/evening Saturday. They're staying in a motel (Thank God the motel money came from the wrestling fund and not out of each parent's pocket!) Friday and Saturday night and will be home Sunday afternoon.

Matt is SO excited about this! -Excited to be part of the varsity so that he can go, and so he can compete at this tourny. I'm gonna miss him though. I'm already nervous for him. Of course ...

Well, the weekend is almost here and I really intended to just have a lazy one. It is so hot. I am melting in this seemingly never-ending heat. It's always a little bizarre to be reading about snow and ice when sweltering here. It is 43 today which calculates to around 111F I think. It was 44 yesterday and 42 the day before and there is no relief for at least another week. Blah!

Anyway, I was going to just park myself under the aircon and watch the tennis. I know my boys will want ...

DH got an email from his ex boss asking if he could come in this weekend to do some freelance camera work. He is needed to do some editing and live shots. He was so cute, he actually asked me if I minded if he went. I told him not at all. Its so different now than when we never ever saw each other. I used to get annoyed when he did side work because it meant whatever little time we had together was taken away. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a regular occurance, but ...

Well, here it is. My first ever blog anywhere. I've never really thought about blogging before because I didn't see the point. Noone knows me. Until the last few months, I've been completely invisible. Sometime participator, occasional threadkiller. Not particularly well thought of by some. Happy with my anonymity

Just need to scream, vent, yell, kick, hit! That's how I feel today. Just completely dissatisfied - haven't felt this way in a long time - not to this degree anyway.

I JUST WANT SOME GOOOOOOD NEWS! PLEASE?

He got his truck back from the shop around 11pm last night. Got dispatched on a load around 10am this morning. On the way to pick it up, he got pulled over at a weigh station for an inspection. His DOT physical paperwork on the short form had been marked '08 instead of '09. The guy was nice and gave him a written warning rather than a ticket. So now, this is something he needs to have corrected ASAP or if caught again he'll be ticketed and pulled out of the truck until it's corrected.

Our school called for a 2 hour delay today, because of the severe ice that is covering everything.
Good call...except, it's an EARLY RELEASE day. So the younger kids would be going in for 10:00, to be picked up at 11:45.
Olivia would need to be in at 10:25...to be picked up at 12:00.
I have my two nieces here as well...my sister needed to get to work.
I told her I'd take them in...but the more I think about all of this...it's just stupid (and risky) to be putting 5 kids ...

Back Story -

Five years ago, o so long ago, when we were just starting the infertility crap, I hadn't even been to RE#1 but we had done the urologist thing and had Brian's surgery scheduled, we went to Alaska for work. We spent 3 weeks there and it was wonderful. We did 2 weeks in the wilds, at one point being two of four people on an island in the Inside Passage.
