Another pound GONE Whoo-hoo!!! It's coming off slowly but surely!

Total down: 21.4 pounds.

I am hoping for another 5 pounds by the end of August. I'll have to kick my butt in high gear but I think I can do it

haven't blogged in a few days.

Things are going good here. School starts a week from Monday. I am so excited for my Bubba to go back to school. He thrives in the structured environment and I love hearing about everything he is learning and watching him grow academically. This summer has been great for him. He has done very well socially this summer... he's played with Jake (an 8 year old) a lot and communicated so well. He went to four Saturdays of OT Camp and actually LEARNED ...

dh has been home less than three days and is going back out again now. i hate this job. i hate it. i'm ready to go back to work so that he will find a local job and be home more than 8 days a month. (i don't mean 8 days not working, like weekends for normal people. i mean sleeping at home 8 nights a month.) i hate this job.

at the same time, IF he did get a local job, it would be factory work. how fair is it to ask him to go back to the ...

It was almost exactly 1 year ago, July 22 that I was in the hospital in Raliegh N.C. I was supposed to be witnessing my niece being born. Instead, I was in the ER with John watching them do a sonogram for possible appendicitis. He was in such extreme pain. It turned out to be a really nasty virus that swelled his lymph nodes, but two hospitals and 3 days later, he was finally much better and released.

Fast forward to this year. . . Jessica is still vomiting, not eating and ...

1.) cried last night reading vince neil's (from motley crue) account of the death of his 4 yo daughter, skylar, from cancer. anyone interested the book is called the dirt and it's about the debauchery of the heavy metal 80's.

2.) cried today watching the youtube video of the hoyt father/son team that bake2perfection has posted in her blog.

Luke is still not PT'd at night, which is fine. In talking with his dr and reviewing things, it is totally a physical issue (we would limit his evening drinks, take him to the bathroom when I got home from work at 1230AM, and he would still be wet in a few hours). We arent pushing it, he wears a pullup at night and thats fine. The last couple of days though, he has soaked through it.

since I work nights, in the AM when they wake up, they come in my room and watch tv for a half ...

He is going to a conference in Vegas the week after Turkey Day...great for him, but...I work nights...dh is the primary (only) caretaker at night...I have worked it to rearrange my schedule slightly, so i will work 3pm-9pm...MIL will have to get out of work at 2, book right to my house and watch the boys..she will watch them til dinnertime, and then my neighbor will come over and get them ready for bed. Hopefully this works out. I want to go to Vegas too, and I can get the time out, but I wont ...

I still have the BabyBeat doppler from Miss G's pregnancy so I pulled it out last week to see if it still worked (hey, that's my rationalization anyway) and played around with it. G thinks its the coolest thing in the world and uses it to find her carotid pulse.

Anyhoo... DH and I played with it Monday before bed and couldn't find anything except a whole lot of my own heartbeat.

This morning at 9w3d? I heard Baby's little heart fluttering away. It was FABULOUS!!! ...
