Tyler almost fell down the stairs today!! We are so not used to having a mobile baby that we keep forgetting about the basement door. Evan was being especially whiny and kept begging Matt to bowl with him downstairs. So, distracted, Matt forgot to close the door and didn't realize that I had gone to the bathroom. I got out just in time to see Ty on his belly teetering on the top step. Luckily, I grabbed in him time and scared us both. Ugh! This next year is going to be so hard having 3 preschoolers ...

Another haircut for Mr. Nick. Took him to the local children's salon up in Livingston. The lady had an autistic cousin and was very understanding. She also had a pair of SILENT clippers. Could have kissed her. Settled for tipping her well.

Then a trip to Lowe's.

DH has never, ever been a fan of kid stuff and clutter. He just likes a neat, clean look, and constantly hides (or puts away) all the kids stuff. We have a huge back yard now and I have been very gung ho about wanting a jungle gym. He seemed to be on board with me. I've been talking about it since late winter. NOTHING like that. This is one of my oldest friends -- a man with whom i have fallen out for so many reasons -- nothing bad, mainly the gypsy-ish nature of my 20s and early 30s --he lives in AZ and I moved first to FL and then to CA.

Richard and I were able to talk a lot of things out.
We went to visit a place called "New Town" St Charles, and then went to St. Louis Mills. We ate at Chevy's and I let myself get a nice buzz. I haven't done that in a long time. He had a large beer, also (I had a frozen strawberry margarita). We then played glow in the dark mini golf.
When we got back to my sisters we took the kids to the kiddie pool and then drove home.
