  1. He's home!

    by , 09-29-2006 at 04:11 PM
Dh made it back safe and sound and no, we did not pull over on the side of the road (darn), so my Mother-in-law did not need to bail us out of jail.
    What self control!

My sweetie has surprised me and planned a overnight rendezvous tonight and even worked out the sitter situation on his own.
It will be the first time leaving Lily. Personally i feel fine but she does get up a couple of times at night because she has lost her binky. UGH! My poor mother. At ...

  2. That's IT!! I am finding a rock and hiding under it...

    by , 09-29-2006 at 01:36 PM
There is something that is keeping me from finding a good job. I am willing to work my A$$ off, not drop my DD off at daycare in the morning and say good night to her at night. Only if it means that I will have a job that I LOVE and that is worth all of that.

You are asking yourself right now "What is she talking about???

I was laid off AGAIN today. Aparently the client feels that there isn't enough work for me. They didn't want to continue the training so they ...

  4. 88lbs of pure golden love

    by , 09-29-2006 at 12:31 PM
DH loved the dog we looked at last night. Somehow I went from taking a look at the dog to having a giant in my SUV.

He's 2, well behaved, housetrained and scared to death of the cat. He is a yellow lab/gold retriever mix... basically someone took the head off a GR and plopped it on the body of a YL.

He's big and lovable and LOVES his girl Genevieve.

    Can't ask for better.

Now he'll go through obedience training for a few extra skills and ...

  5. Pumpkin carving

    by , 09-29-2006 at 12:15 PM
Yesterday, after picking H up from preschool, we went to Walmart to get a pumpkin carving kit so that he could help carve his first pumpkin He was so excited and I was too!

So last night, he & I sat down and started working on it. At first, he said he would help clean out the inside, the seeds, pulp, etc...but after seeing what was actually in the inside, he decided that I should do it instead! LOL After that was complete, he looked through the stickers that came with the ...

  6. hee hee

Is there any sinful delight greater than going out to lunch with a friend and returning to a house that is very clean and has been cleaned by someone else?

Now that I have a once-a-week cleaner, I am finding it much easier to do the daily straightening and organizing, rather than being so overwhelmed by everything that I barely scratch the surface.

Now downstairs to put away the laundry; see, I am not entirely lazy.

  7. I'm finally done and ready to go!

    by , 09-29-2006 at 11:33 AM
I knew if I worked my butt off I'd get all the things done for the clothing sale. I even have the car packed and ready to go! Our little SUV fit: a full size highchair, an excersaucer, 2 large bins of clothing, small bin of clothing, a car seat w/ base, very large box filled w/ misc. things like shoes, blankets, and small toys, 2 huge fisher price learning activity toys, one of those XXL ziploc bags filled with winter coats and snowsuits and I think that's it. I do have some nice things to sell ...

  8. Can't catch a break

    by , 09-29-2006 at 11:28 AM
I feel like a whining little twit lately. Everything was getting better, I was beginning to feel better, but I should have known something was going to come up. I just got a call from the DR off and 2 of my test came back positive for Rheumatoid arthritis (RA). I can't seem to catch a break. I have an appt on the 9th to see a Rheumatologist to figure out what to do. I didn't even find out if the surgery was off or not since they found the reason for the swelling.

    I can't believe this ...

  9. Money

    by , 09-29-2006 at 11:09 AM
On our way home yesterday from work Zachary started a interesting conversation with me. He said he was sorry that he wants to use money all of the time and go out to dinner a lot. And sorry he broke his promise. It was so out of the blue I was taken by surprise. He was so serious and almost sounded like he was going to cry. He kept saying it in different ways and said that he wanted to go on the cruise again and that he was sorry and would not want to spend so much money. I asked ...

  10. Got it!

    by , 09-29-2006 at 10:12 AM
11:15 AM, 45 minutes before closing and FINALLY got the word that it's a go.

The one thing that blows my mind though, the underwriters want a written statement from FIL explaining why he took a cash payment for those two months

FIL is taking it so much better than we thought. He wants to sell the place and already has a few people in mind. I hope it works out for him. We will definitely help him sell it, I'm just thrilled he came through for ...
