I went to a baby shower for a long time friend today. It was so neat to see her and her dh open all that stuff. They don't know what they are having (How can they stand it???) so they didn't get much in the way of clothes but they got all their major stuff. PLus she got a cleaning service and a gift certificate to super suppers from her parents. What a GREAT idea!

My mom, sister and I all went together and got her two big baskets filled with stuff. Bottles, liners, blankets, ...

I had an appointment yesterday. It went very well. He is weighing in at 2#4oz, about a week ahead. No contractions on the monitor. Cervix unchanged. Peri finally admitted that he thinks the shots are working for me. YEAH!

Oh, and he is breech. dh was happy to hear that cause he wantes me to go right in for the repeat c/s??????

Two reunions ago my SIL announced she was pg with my niece, she was 6 weeks along and guess what, 2 reunions later she is announcing she is pg. again, she is a whole 7 weeks. OMG I can not imagine announcing my pregnancy at 6-7 weeks. I felt a huge pang, a pange that I'll never have the innocence of truly beliving all will be ok when I'm 6w along. The innocence of being pregnant without high tech measures. I'm jealous, isn't that pathetic? I love my DC desperately but I would so love to ...

Dh left with the kids an hour ago to go camping overnight.

He knows..and has known since before we were married...that I LOATHE camping....so he doesn't even bother to suggest that I come along. He's going with a bud from work and his 4 year old daughter (his wife is about 6 mths pg with their 2nd child...so she wasn't going either.)

So...here I sit...completely alone!! And it will stay that way until they return tommorrow afternoon...

I want to be pregnant again and another one of the loss moms that I know that lost her child 2 weeks before I lost Gabe is pregnant again. I am happy for her, but wondering why isn't that me?

Went to the first night of my 20th class reunion last night and had a really great time. I thought i would only be there a couple of hours and five hours later i was finally home.
Everyone seemed casual and comfortable and not comparing resumes at all. I truly felt like the late bloomer though. So many of them had teenagers and here i am practically starting my family.
Some people had changed drastically while others looked like Father Time had not laid a hand on them. There ...

well of cause my test came back elevated! My glucose level was measuring 150 and normal maximum is 140. So now on friday I have to go and retake it. Thank god I have noticed that 75 on the bottle otherwise I would be off to 3 hours test.

A note about Tourette's. Someone else posted about this tonight and it brought it to the front of my mind. It's something I'm familiar with because my father has it. My mother always says he just has ticks. But he has sooooo many ticks. He's never had a formal diagnosis of Tourettes but I am positive he would if it bothered him enough to actually seek help about it. He's just thought of as a kind of weird dude. He's smart and goofy and a bit eccentric. He blinks hard, clears his throat, ...

On the way to swim lessons yesterday, Ella told Karl a joke. It went like this.... "what did the lawyer name his son?" DS: "I don't know." DD: "Mike".... (both kids crack up).... Me.... I don't get it.... trying to figure this out.... realized a few minutes later this was a joke from a popsicle stick and was supposed to be "what did the announcer name his son".? "Mike!"

Kaden wore big boy undies all day at school today. He had 3 accidents. I put him in a pull up when we got home because we had to go to the store. He peed in his pullup. Then before bath he pooped in his pull up. He cried and cried when he pooped in it. I don't know why because we haven't disciplined him at all when he has accidents. And I know daycare doesn't. I think he is doing really well.
