My mom is celebrating her 2nd birthday in Heaven this year. She would have been 66 today. So young...

I knew the cemetery would close at 5 today so I took a chance yesterday evening (after closing time ) and it was still open. I think they keep the gate open on the weekend. Anyway, DH, the kids and I went to the cemetery to wish Mom a Happy Birthday. This year we got her one of those metal spinners that has a hummingbird in the center. It is really neat when the wind blows and it spins. She was always a fan of hummingbirds. She had 2 different feeders for most of my life. She loved to watch them flit and fly around.

You know it is funny the peace that I have when we are at the cemetery. I don't worry about the kids except when Tanner sees the small cars on the little boy's spot and wants to play with them. It is hard to get a 3 year old to understand why there are toys there he can't play with. Mom's cemetery is an old pecan orchard. There are all of these giant pecan trees. It is really a beautiful place. I don't know why I am writing all of this.

Anyway, Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mom! I wish you were still here with us. I love and miss you!
