While I was in the bathroom getting ready this morning, I was encouraging Tanner to get dressed. He was in full on play mode. He would walk across my bed and turn off the light by the cord and lay down and pretend to sleep. So, I would walk over and turn the light back on. Well we did this several times...of course the whole time I was still encouraging him to get dressed.

Next thing I know, my little "sailor" gets up and proclaims, "D@mnit" as he walks to the light cord. I said, what did you say? He looks at me with the coy, "What" kind of look and smiles and says again, "D@mnit". I told him that that is a bad word and that, although we shouldn't, only adults use it. He says, "only mothers?"

Note to self, be MUCH more vigilant about what you say!
