We went to the endocrinologist today. After such a wait, it was a real let down. Apparently Brooklyn grew 5 cm (2 inches) since September (yeah, right), so she's now AT the third percentile NOT below it. (I checked her height/weight online and it seems like she is still below the 3rd percentile, even with the ridiculous measurement they got.) Anyway, he wants to follow her for another 6 months. I've been so busy that I have been neglecting my blog.

Parent teacher interviews were on Thursday night and Friday morning. They all went well. I have a great class this year and great parents, too. My interview with Jordan's teacher also went well. She is a wonderful teacher and so supportive and understanding of Jordan.

My girls had their last gymnastics class today for this session. I am so proud of them. Jordan has moved up to the recreational program...

Brooklyn had her follow up at the developmental ped this week. Her initial assessment at 23 mos had given her a diagnosis of a language delay, plus they were concerned about a growth delay.

Well, she qualified for speech therapy, but we're still on the waiting list. Despite that, the developmental ped said that her speech is now on target! She said that she will keep her on the list so the SLP can do an assessment on her and check pronunciation, etc., but she foresees...

Last weekend, the sitter was supposed to babysit on Friday night. She didn't show up. She called me on Sunday to let me know that her grandfather had had a heart attack and they had rushed to be with him. Unfortunately, she had left her cell phone at home, so she had no way of contacting me. She apologized and we talked for awhile and I asked if she would like to babysit this week. She said yes.

I thought we had it all worked out. She was off work at 5:30, so dh drove over...

I had said I'd call her this week to confirm the time. Well, it's been a crazy week, but I called last night and left a message on her voicemail. She never called me back. I started calling her at 5:30 and have called probably 10 times. Jordan is devastated. This was one of her teachers at her old daycare and she was SOOO excited to see her tonight.

I guess it's my fault... I should have called to confirm earlier in the week. However, I gave her the date last week and she did...

We have a babysitter coming on Friday for the first time since Jordan was born!!! She was always such a high needs child that I just couldn't trust her with the average sitter. Well, one of the teachers at her former daycare is willing to babysit. She is also going to be Jordan's new special needs worker (her old worker doesn't have any nights free between school and lifeguarding).

We're going out to a Jack & Jill for our friends who are getting married. It will be so different...

He gave Brooklyn a full exam and everything was normal.

He told me that he wants to redo the EEG so that he can read it himself instead of just receiving the report. It will be done at Sick Kids this time instead of just a regular hospital. He also said it didn't need to be sleep deprived this time either.

Anyway, still no answers... He said 3-4 weeks until we will be called for the EEG. We're still waiting for the MRI as well, which will also be at Sick Kids. I haven't...

I just got a call from the pediatric neurologist with Brooklyn's appt. She's going in this SUNDAY at noon. I have never heard of a specialist working on a Sunday!

Well, I dropped Jordan off at daycare this morning. They were to put her on the bus to come to my school. I thought she'd be ok because she knew that Mommy was at school. No go. I got a call 3 minutes before school started that they couldn't get her on the bus.

So, dh drove out and picked her up from daycare and took her to school. The teacher had to PRY her off of Daddy. She sat on the teacher's lap or held her hand for pretty well the entire morning. She did have a good...

I'm so excited that I'll get to take Jordan to her first day of Senior Kindergarten tomorrow. She was in Junior Kindergarten last year, but I couldn't take time off from school to take her for her first day.

At the same time, I'm a bit nervous. Jordan doesn't deal well with change and new situations, so it might not be pleasant! I hope she'll be ok, but I'm sure there will be tears. I know she'll love it once she's there... it's just the first day or two that will be hard....
