Children

well let's see, d has pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital sunday night into monday. he was released monday but we all know how well i slept sunday night in the hospital and monday night at home. i was scheduled to take my biochem on tuesday morning. i would have had an excused absence but then i would have had to take an essay exam during quarter break. since i did not really know how the essay exam would go with regards to grading nor did i know the extent of details the questions ...

ugh....we got hit this weekend with the tummy bug that is going around.

s managed to not throw up, thankfully as she had recital.

d threw up on sat...poor munchkin.

a so far is okay but i am not holding my breath.

well definetly LOUD!! my hearing is still muffled this morning.

and my eyes ached to stay closed when the kiddos got up this am....reminding me i am not as young as i used to be.

concert itself was wonderful...geddy was not as bouncy as he was a few years ago when we saw them. during the second half of the show, we had an idiot who was sitting somewhere else that decided to come and sit by his other two friends so they had 3 rather large guys crammed ...

so, after a horrible mini-trip to drop off bil halfway to madison to see his friend while he was here for s's first communion with a very grumpy and over tired a, dh decided that we needed to fly for our trip this summer where we had been planning on driving.
before yesterday, we had the hotel and flight down we were just debating on a car. we wanted to reserve the car yesterday since someone we know told us prices on these things are generally cheaper on wednesday's.
so i hop on ...

and what does this get me, you ask? well absolutely nothing without my emt-b license, which i will get sometime next year.


in the meantime, i am camped at the first aid tent for girl scout twilight camp.

"oh she is walking so well for her age"
followed by "well she certainly is a little thing isn't she?" when they hear how old a is i swear i am going to scream.
yes i know i have a petite child....which is well demonstrated by the fact that my almost 20 month old can still wear some 9-12 month clothes and is in her 12-18 month clothes yet and some of her 12-18 month clothes are big on her yet. yes she is a petite child....so what??
what gets me is people ...

we had d's birthday party on sunday and i told everyone do not get him size 5 clothes as he had plenty but to get him size 6 as he would be wearing that next fall. so what does everyone get him for his birthday...size 5 clothes

the poor boy got so many new clothes that he soooo did not need between christmas and now his birthday that i have no clue what to do. i do have gift reciepts for some of them so i guess i could exchange them for size 6 or credit for the fall ...

YAHOOO!!!
the guy who heads the first responder class (the first of a two part series that will lead to me gaining my emt-b license) has agreed to let me into the class even though it is full and listed as registration closed.
i am so so happy!!!

now i just have to figure out how the heck i am going to work out taking the second course over the summer.....but i will gladly tackle that hurdle when i come to it

and on the positive side...i get out of ...

i put some dishes in the dishwasher yesterday morning and when i went back upstairs to check on the kiddos i find my kitchen floor (thank goodness for ceramic tiles) covered in bubbles i immediately of course panic and wonder what is wrong with my slightly over two year old dishwasher and then i catch the faintest smell of oranges which coincidentally is the same as the scent of my dishwashing liquid that i use in the sink. as i am pondering this smell i happen to remember that ...

ay yi yi....i thought things were getting better but they are just not.
practices seem to be running much smoother and we are doing more together as a team so the girls are in unison. however there is one girl who consistently arrives late and has missed a number of practices over the summer and she is just completely out of synch with the rest of the girls. she goes right while they are going left and it just looks awful.
