My little Sadie. Two years have gone by since your little heart stopped. My purple swirl....that is what I see when I think of you.

No one has mentioned you today....but I am ok with it. I remember you. I love you. One day we will see each other again. In light and love, my sweet baby.

Caeden is not listening at all. She is moving, or closing her eyes, or doing something to annoy Nicholas. Then I get upset, and she starts to cry. Then we have to stop.

No graduation day for you....
Beauty school drop out....
Missed your mid-terms and flunked shampoo

(I love the movie Grease)

But seriously, this was me last night.

I colored my hair again (I didn't like the color from the other night). Managed to get hair dye all over the place. Stepped in a drip (didn't know it), and tracked it all over the bathroom, on the white linoleum (oh well, we hated it anyway). BIG drip on my shoulder, and my boob (which rubbed onto my upper arm) which now looks like my DH beat me.

Stained my glasses (you really can't see it since it is my ear piece). And my nails are stained from washing the color out. Oh, and when Caeden moved her toothpaste this morning, apparently the dye got on there too and stained the painted wood (which was going to be re-painted any way).

And since we were already making a mess....

I bleached my arm hair. Spilt the accelerator all over my vanity. Applied the mix to one arm, waited....and found out it didn't work because I didn't add enough accelerator. So added more, tried again. Better the second time, but some areas need a retouch. But I got creme all over because the little tray wasn't big enough to mix the batch I needed.

You really would think I was a 4 yr old playing in my mom's make-up.....

Caeden is not a born organized person. She does OK, but definitely room for improvement.

This week she had multiple books for school, all for different things (library, reading group, weekly reading, extra stuff....). Granted, I couldn't keep track of it either!!! But part of that is because Caeden didn't know what was what.

I spoke to her teacher this morning, and clarified a few things. Apparently this week is an anomally and it should be more clear from here out. But I suggested that she have Caeden make a list of what is what....for her sake, and for mine. (I had to remind her teacher that her TWIN brother also is coming home with books, and his are due on different days than hers, and we are going to loose track!)

We finally figured out her "Reading Counts" book for the week, but the quiz is on Friday. Teacher said she will have her pick a shorter book....I said no. That is what she picked. She needs to learn some responsibility (apparently she picked this book on Monday and never brought it home). So if she doesn't do as well on the quiz, she will learn that she needs to bring her book home every night.

I am a meanie.

Actually, I think she will be just fine. She is a smart cookie.

New golf shirt
Favorite candies
I am not saying that my husband should spend lots and lots of money, but just a little thought might be nice.

As a result, there was a massive re-org of her room. Out came the bookshelf that didn't match anything. Out came her Disney Princess Vanity Table. We tossed a bunch of junkie things.

Placed special things on her dresser. The mirror has a cork board, so up when her birthday cards. Set up her cd player (with cds in a box next to it). And she decided that she is too big for her Disney Princess Dress up clothes. So we boxed that up. making room for big girl things.

Her room looks so different. Bigger. Older. Didn't change anything major (we painted around Christmas; same bed spread she has had for 2 yrs). But it looks older.

Daddy will put together her bed tomorrow, and we want to get risers so she has more storage underneath.

Amazing!

The special ed teacher called this afternoon to tell me that Nicholas had a great first day, and that he settled in well. She wrote a note with Nicholas that came home....sounds like a good day.

Only hiccup was that Caeden's bus was WAY LATE getting home. School gets out at 3:25....it was 4:45 when she got home. Poor kid. Hopefully it was just first day of school chaos and it won't be a habit.
