we just got a new range in April...
I was on the phone today with my brother and decided to tighten the door handle that has been loose for a while. apparently i overtightened (which i doubt bec i was doing it lefthanded and dont have much strength there)...anyway...I shattered the glass front of the range door!! All over my kitchen, into the dining room and hallway...glass everywhere! of course my brother tells me to call AHS since I have the warranty (he works for them).

I cleaned the glass...and hope I got it all. I swept three times, vacuumed it, swept again and then mopped. Filled a contractor sized garbage bag with glass. And I still dont think I got it all, but thats just my paraniod self...

I checked my receipts and had purchased the sears master protection plan when we got the stove (before purchasing the home warranty) so I called sears. Someone will be out tomorrow AM to check/repair it.

UGH...only me...

Holy cow, I didn't know you could brake the glass just by tighting the handle.

yeah, apparently I applied a little too much torque and it caused a shatter. So much for safety glass, it didnt stay in one wiggly piece like it was supposed to, it shattered into a thousand pieces all over the place. I dont feel like i got it all and I keep going over it with the broom and vacuum...
