The last few years T has taken the kiddos TorTing but last night I got too.
Since both had a late night the night before I made them both take naps. 3 hours later, they were up and ready to go, the only problem was that it was 2 hours until start time.
So we hung around the house.
Around 4:30 I left to go and get pizza for dinner (tradition for us) and than came home. Erin ate a whole slice were as Ben didnt' eat anything. So as we continued to count down to TorTing time. We slowly dressed the kiddos.
Ben decided at the last moment not to go as the astronaut but went as the fireman instead (which was great as it fit over his coat).
Erin on the other hand did not want to dress up at all. She just wanted to wear her jacket. Well we finally got her convinced to where the princess outfit only to find that the pink one would not go over her coat. T could not get the sleeves to go up. So thank goodness that we have 2 princess costumes and the blue one (Erin's favorite color) had elastic around the arms and it would fit over the coat.
We meet up with A and his family and went around the block together.
It was pretty cold and A did not wear a coat nor did his sister and they both got pretty cold by the time it was over with. A had a melt down of the major kind.
Before we were done, Erin was done and wanted to go home so I cut through the yard that's behind us and took her home. The only problem was that the backyard is full of water and we got pretty wet walking through it. This is the house that Ben's little friend lived at but they lost the house due to non payment.
The real reason was that she wanted some candy and that's why she wanted to go home.
I caught back up with A and his family and they went home (his daddy came to pick them up). I took Ben and we finished the block and headed home after that.
