Donations needed to bring a train to it's new home
Please share this with as many people as you can. You can email it to as many people as you want too. I don't have a large email group so for me to send it out is just not going to make that much of a difference. But I know enough people on the web who can share this with others and we can get this done.
As those who know my son, know that he is a big train fan. Over the course of the last 3 years, we have gone to The Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum AKA Train town in my blog. We have learned much and have enjoyed visiting the museum, at times even going 2 or 3 times in a week. The museum has undertaken a grand plan of not only having model trains but also full sized trains. The new acquisition will include a diesel engine, a 1950s-era presidential passenger car, 16 Pullman Standard passenger cars, and a one-of-a-kind 1943 steam engine.
The Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum on Tyler Bvld (moving to a new site off Tyler Bvld to Justin Way) is in need of $100,000 to move the train from its present location to Mentor Oh. Not only does the train need to be moved before the snows fly but it also needs a new storage building to be in once it reaches its new location. Its current building may not make it through the winter and might collapse at any time.
As well, if the museum reaches its $100,000 mark to move the train, it has dream of running the train on tracks so that all can know the thrill of riding a steam train and it not just be a distant memory. Any money over the needed $100,000 will be spent at the discretion of the museum.
Please consider making your tax-deductible donation today, payable to WRMRRM 7471 Tyler Blvd. Unit L Mentor, Ohio 44060
If 10,000 people donate just $10 each, the museum would have enough to bring the train home to Ohio and build it a new home. Updates will be on their website.
If you would like to see the train please visit the museum’s website at http://www.wrmrrm.org/default.htm
If you do donate and send a check please put For Ben in the memo area. Thanks
