we know we are going to China in 21 days to pick up Nolan, but I am scared and just feeling overwhelmed right now. What if he doesn't like us or want to go with us?

I fear being in a country that I do not know how to speak their language or get around.

We have a busy 21 days before we leave, mostly school related (inservices). I feel like I am not going to have everything ready to go before we leave.

I hope these are natural feelings of going through ...

I am getting so tired of hearing all the negative stuff that comes out of my teacher partner's mouth lately. She never has anything positive to say.

Sydney had to miss her school day today to go to the doctor. She had perfect attendance up until today! Anyways dh took her and they diagnosed her with strep throat.

She came this past Friday with a fever and I gave her Motrin. Her fever went away and the weekend she was fine. Monday she woke up with fevers again, but I drugged her up and sent her to school. She was fine at school and afterwards, she started running fevers again.

For the last eight years Daisy has been on our front porch greeting all the trick-or-treat visiors. This is the first year it didn't happen. Instead we had Mom's dog, Cocoa, who I had to put inside because she kept running off. I can't find her harness. Mentally I just wasn't ready to fight putting up with her so I put her inside.

The kids got loaded up with candy this year. All of the neighbors were giving baggies that were filled up. Not used to that one!

Well it has now been 1 day since we put Daisy down and we are still basketcases. We did manage to sleep just a little bit last night.

Dh and I are going to take off of work tomorrow to spend a little time with each other. We are not ready to go back to teaching kids and trying to keep our head there enough to teach. Sydney will go to school and Donovan to daycare. ...

I can't stop crying!! I KNOW it was the right decision to put Daisy down and out of her suffering, but it is so hard being in this house without her around. I went and took all of her dog toys and bed over to my mother's house just so it is out of our sight.

Here is my cute little kindergartener! She had a wonderful day at school and WANTS to go back tomorrow! No tears at all today!

As a look into Sydney's room tonight she is fast asleep and all ready for her first full day of kindergarten in the morning. I cannot believe she is already five years old and starting school! She is sleeping so peaceful and tomorrow is going to be a whirlwind for her.
