A better Day

Well... I managed to get a decent sleep last night... DS 7 DD slept right through and Dh was nightshift!!
we got up at 8:30am the kiddies had thier boob jucie and some museli and played and we all went back to bed at 9:30./ Gregor fretted because he was so tired... but eventually he fell fast asleep (megan was straight over) and we all slept untill 13:30!! it was devine (Apart from the postie knocking the door down to delivery some packages!)
Anyhow I felt more human today than I have all year!I even took down the Christmas tree and put away all the Decorations - I is nice to have the tree but I love getting the space back when it's gone!! And I worked out a great trick to stop getting needles all over the house as we try and drag it out!
My Dad and Brother came down to see me. They brough a picture of my Gran and Grandad and also some Chairs the were my grandfathers grandfathers. I've had two of them for a while but Grandad said I was to get the other two when he didn't need them anymore.
Mum called and filled me in on all the funeral arrangements. My neices and nephews won't be going - it would be too much for them espscially as it's a cremation but we'll be taking the babies. at least they are too young to understand and they may help make it easier on everyone. They usually can make the most unhappy people smile. We've asked for no flowers... we'll do a family arrangement but Grandad used to live near the crematirum and hated seeing all the flowers being wasted. We'll send his arrangment back to the nursing home where he spent his final years. My other Grandparents will drive the babies to the creamatorium and DH and I will go to the Undertakers with mum and dad and brother and SIL and we'll have a private family service there and then follow the coffin to the crematorium in a car and meet everyone else there. I've only ever been to that crematorium twice before. Once for my Gran and the otherone was a few years ago for a friend from the RAF VR(T) who died. I remember we all wore dress uniforms and saluted his herse. The 16th is going to be such a painful day.
On a more positive note I looked out some summer clothes for M&G for thier holiday!! I seem to have a lot that will still fit them which is good. I'm going out tomorrow to get a few guidebooks and an Egyptian/arabic phrasebook because the little arabic I do know won't work in Egypt! DH gave me some Cash tonight... he's such a star... he knows things are so tight because i've been on unpaid leave for nearly six months now! talking of which.. my honeys were 11 months old today!!! Megan stood up on her own and bounced up and down bfore giggling and falling down laughing and gregor stuck his feet in his fruit pot and sooked his toes afterward!! Lovely! (We do have spoons in our house... honest!)
Oh my.... it's easy to get carried away with these blogs!!! I dare say the masses of words now will make up for the many days to come where all i write is.. "woke up... saw babies... played... tired.. back to bed!!"
