So, everything is calm on the homefront. I went to visit "B" on Wednesday and everything is fine. She was feeling really overwhelmed and helpless sitting in jail and was extremely upset by a visit that they'd had. Grandma and Dad had brought baby "D" to visit and he was dressed in a thin, dingy sleeper with a thin blanket and a leaky bottle. No burp rag, no bib. She said that the bottle was leaking all over and he was getting soaked and neither grandma or dad got up to help. Then his little nose was running and grandma used a paper towel to wipe it. On top of that she'd gotten pictures and the baby seemed to always be sleeping on the couch. She asked why they never took pictures of him in his bassinet or crib...oh, they hadn't set them up yet. The baby was sleeping on the couch all the time. So, "B" was stressing and felt that at least if we had him she would be able to rest easy and know that he was fine.

Well, the next visit, which was only a few days before I went, he was dressed in a cute, warm outfit with a big fluffy blanket. Dad brought a bib, burp rag and new bottles. They set up the bassinet and all seems to be going well now. Our visit was really nice, she's such a sweet heart and I can't wait until she gets out and can get on with life.

As far as all the Noah drama, the time ran out for "L" to get the DNA testing that he wrote the courts to request. How's that for idiotic...write a big five-page letter to the courts explaining all the dumb reasons why he should be allowed to get DNA testing after all this time...gets the court order to allow it and never follows through. Good for us, except for this just ate up another 30 days and now there's no way we'll finalize in '07. I'm pretty ticked about that. But, the termination hearing is the 19th and then we should be moving on to the adoption process. We have to wait 60 days from termination to finalize so hopefully mid-January or early February. The sooner the better so that we can file our taxes and get some money back to pay off all these loans! And once we finalize I'll get my $5,000 adoption assistance from my work, that'll make things easier!

Well, this entry is long enough and I really should do at least a little bit of work this morning!
