The chaos of life....

A couple years ago we bought some land out in the country and put a pole barn out there, this was intended to be a kennel so that we could breed our Yorkies. Got a trailer pulled out there and was going to live in that temporarily until we'd paid down the loan for the land and pole barn, etc. Well, didn't work out so well and lots of crap with lying, stealing, coniving contractors working on an addition to the trailer...never did get moved out there as we'd hoped to do. So, we decided a couple months back to just build a little apartment of sorts inside the pole barn...well, we're almost done and I'm so excited. We've got three bedrooms, laundry room, living room, eat in kitchen and of course, bathroom. It's taken a little longer than anticipated but we're nearing the end and hoping to be painting next week! Emma's bmom's boyfriend has done all the construction and we're pleased, minus all the drama that's accompanied everything it's been a pretty good experience. So, out at the land we've got more livable square footage than here....we have a 2000 square foot house but only live downstairs and the kids share a room as the other two are upstairs. Needless to say Emma is extremely excited about having her own, girly room!
Noah had his lovely little trip to the ER but is doing MUCH better and we're almost done with nebs! HALLELUJAH!!! So, now we've done a hearing evaluation which led to a health and deveopment eval, which led to a speech eval and now is leading to a social work/emotional eval. He's talking but not using consanants so we can't understand clearly what he's saying which frustrates him and sends him into hyper screeching, screaming mode. Not very tolerant of high-pitched screaming from a one and a half year old not getting his way, right now! KWIM. I probably sound insensitive but good grief, you wouldn't believe it unless you heard it...it's ear piercing and he only uses it if he's not getting his way and FAST!!!
I'm also planning to switch to the hospital here in town so that I'm not on the road so much and away from the family...the gas is killer, too! $12-15 everytime I go to work...insane! The hospital here in town is 3 minutes away instead of 45, the shift differential is $3.50/hr higher and the weekends are $0.75/hr higher plus the gas savings...will almost make up for the fact that the hospital here in town isn't nearly as nice as the one I'm at now!
Emma is LOVING summer and is a total fish. I can't believe how good she is in the water...she loves swimming and would like to be a mermaid according to her. Noah's going to be a fish, too, he's always trying to imitate Emma and go under water and stuff. Kind of frightening actually!
