A couple years ago we bought some land out in the country and put a pole barn out there, this was intended to be a kennel so that we could breed our Yorkies. Got a trailer pulled out there and was going to live in that temporarily until we'd paid down the loan for the land and pole barn, etc. Well, didn't work out so well and lots of crap with lying, stealing, coniving contractors working on an addition to the trailer...never did get moved out there as we'd hoped to do. So, we decided a couple months...

So, things are pretty good around here. Monday is "termination day" and we are completely done with bparents, possible bparents, legal bparents, blah, blah, blah...it's about time! Then we must wait, yet again, 60 days to finalize the adoption. But at least we'll be done with all the worrying that one of them will screw things up with another 30 day wait!

Noah turned one on Tuesday but we're having his party tomorrow night, so it'll be fun! I've got too much to do tomorrow...balloons,...

So, everything is calm on the homefront. I went to visit "B" on Wednesday and everything is fine. She was feeling really overwhelmed and helpless sitting in jail and was extremely upset by a visit that they'd had. Grandma and Dad had brought baby "D" to visit and he was dressed in a thin, dingy sleeper with a thin blanket and a leaky bottle. No burp rag, no bib. She said that the bottle was leaking all over and he was getting soaked and neither grandma or dad got up to help....

Well, so the drama continues...this time not with Noah, surprise, surprise! I don't know if you remember me talking about this back in April/May. I don't know, way back when...Emma's bmom was pregnant and didn't know what she was going to do. Back in jail on bogus paroll violations and really in a tough spot. She was considering having us adopt the baby but really wasn't sure what the bdad was going to do or say. So, we put our profile on hold and waited on an answer. She finally decided that she...

So, life is good...kids are doing well, although they have way too much energy! Emma's in pre-school one day a week and we're looking into getting her in a few more days a week...she really seems to enjoy it! Noah is busy, busy, busy...crawling, pulling himself up, cruising! I can't keep up!

As far as all the legal mumbo, jumbo...bmom didn't even contest the termination! That was wonderful news but what really infuriated me was that the lawyer (D) didn't even call to let us know one...

This week has definately been one of the more chaotic weeks as of yet. We had Emma's 3rd b-day party on Labor Day so that everyone could be there. It was a ton of fun and looked more like Christmas than a birthday. She had about 25-30 people there and tons of food! We had a cookout and of course, cake and ice cream. I'm not a huge character person, don't like characters on clothes, etc. Her first b-day it was butterflies and bugs, then last year it was simply pink,brown and mint green, this year...

So, we are all adjusting very well. Noah is amazing, he's such a happy baby and has adjusted so quickly to us. Emma loves him to death and he thinks that she's just the funniest thing ever. Everything she does is hilarious and that doesn't always fly with Emma. If she's throwing a fit or she's upset about something, he'll laugh at her. She looks at him and says, "It's not funny Noah!" And he just laughs more! LOL So, life in general is great, we're so happy and loving our new family of...

So, we had a rushed but good time with grandma and baby. We picked them up at the airport and it was such a wonderful time. My sister went with us and she was so happy that she could be there to experience meeting him for the first time with us. Emma was so excited and stood right there in everyone's way while they tried to get off the plane. She kept saying that she was waiting for her "baby brudder". There was no swaying her, she was standing right there. We went back to the hotel and...

So, we are getting our baby boy tonight! Grandma & I talked 17 hours ago and his bmom has abandoned him once again. This time with her boyfriend, who may or may not be the bdad but doesn't care one way or the other. So, I talk to Grandma, call my atty and within 40 minutes of the first word out of Grandma's mouth we've got a plan in place to get our son home. Right now Grandma is at the airport getting ready to board a plane to go get him and bring him home to us!!!
