ok, not really.

tomorrow we are leaving for asheville north carolina. we're driving (or, HE is driving) the 8 1/2 hour trip. we were planning to go to new york, then niagara falls. but waited too long to make reservations. the kids are going with superdad to the lake for the 4 days.

i have no idea what we will do there. probably sit around the hotel room & stare all googly eyed at one another.

it's been almost a year since we started dating. i don't talk much about him, because i've talked waaaay too much about waaaay too many other men.

this is just, different.

the trip is my birthday present. i was secretly hoping for an engagement ring.

but don't tell anyone.

oh, & i've embraced my crazy hair. it's wacked. it is now relaxed some & defreezed QUITE a bit after much soaking with conditioner. now it looks like a drunk five year old took a crimper to the majority of my head. so, i've taken to just piling it all up on top of my head & letting it stick up every which way, some falls down around my face.

& i pretend i planned it that way.
