Children

The kids are staying overnight for the first time at my parents house. Our friends asked us to go out Friday night and I had asked my Mom to come watch them at our house. She said "Why not have them stay over?" that way we can stay out as late as we want and we can sleep in I won't know what to do!!! LOL I bet I'll be up at my regular time but that way I can get a bunch of things done around the house....

I'm going to pick the kids up from daycare by 3pm, head home ...

My FIL is not good at all. My MIL has scheduled nurse's round the clock for him at home. She is feeling very overwhelmed at home with him plus she is working full time. I have no idea how she's doing it. She now has my BIL there for a few days helping out during the day while she is at work. DH and I have offered our help over & over but she feels she is burdening us by asking for help. Last week on Wednesday and on Friday, as soon as I pulled in the driveway 2 little girls from the neighborhood ran down to see the kids. They must be about 8 and 10 years old. They said they were waiting for me to get home!! They wanted to actually play with N&N but I had to let the girls know that since I just got home, I like to wash their hands & face since they are in daycare and then I get dinner ready. I had plans to go see my FIL yesterday morning. I called them on Thursday and asked if I could come with the kids around 10am and my MIL said YES, that would be great. I really wanted to see my FIL and for him to see the kids. I guess I'm feeling guilt that if I don't go see him, he may pass away before we get a chance to be with him. I had planned to go while my DH slept since he worked his overnight shift and didn't get home until 9:30am on Saturday morning. It would have been perfect b/c ...

I guess their scale is more accurate then mine at home but I'm still not sure. It says I'm down to 146! That's great but at home I'm at least 5 pounds heavier.

I must watch what I eat now since I'm not going back to weight watchers. I've been trying to eat salads at the office and not snack as much.

Now if I could find the time to excercise I wish the office had a sidewalk but it's on a busy street. I'd love to take a walk after lunch for some excercise. ...

Things pretty much suck right now My FIL is getting worse by the day. He now can hardly talk. DH helped get him out of the hospital today after he was there for a few days with major blockage and was constipated for about a week. DH said he looks awful and could not really talk - it was so hard for him to even take a breath to say a word. It's becoming more & more difficult for the man to do anything..... and there is not anything anyone can do for him.

They brought him to the hospital late afternoon yesterday. He was so constipated and in so much pain, they had to take him. They did a cat scan and he has major blockage. He has had some relief from what they gave him but they will keep him until at least tomorrow to let him unblock his blockage.

I don't know what else they may find while he's out there. Hopefully they have dealt with other ALS patients before. I doubt he'll be home tomorrow though - he is actually better off ...

I am debating to take a nap or clean. The more I look around the house and see the mess, the more I want to go take a nap The house is so quiet right now. The kids are napping, DH is sleeping (he worked his overnight shift) and I know if I clean, I may wake him up by making noise. I called my MIL this morning. She is stressed out and very worried about FIL. He has been constipated now for days. She has done everything she could to get him to go to the bathroom and it's not working. His muscles are completely shutting down and he can't do anything anymore for himself

The next step is to take him to the hospital and they will have to give him something to go to the bathroom. Sorry if this is to much info but it is reality - we all have to do it and ...

YAY! It's here. Our basket bingo event is tonight We are up to 171 tickets sold.....WHOO-HOO!! I am very excited and cannot wait for it to happen. We are all set and ready to go. I can't believe we pulled this together in only 8 weeks. Without the bingo committee this would not have been possible.

I think this is going to be the club's largest fundraiser yet!!!
