  1. Weigh In: Week 30

    by , 12-13-2006 at 10:08 AM
I lost one pound I think they added my weight loss wrong though - I will have to ask next week (it could be my addition) but last week I lost .8lbs which was 29.8lbs down and I lost 1 pound this week and they wrote 30.2lbs down. Should be 30.8 but what's a few ounces?....

Since I lost that means I can EAT and DRINK tonight at the Holiday Dinner...whoo-hoo! This is my week of Holiday parties so I should watch how much I eat - I will reach for the veggies & fruit but maybe ...

  2. These kids crack me up!

    by , 12-12-2006 at 08:51 PM
Nicholas' new word is "OW". It all started a few days ago when I go to change his diaper, get him dressed, put him in his chair to eat, just about everything. I know NOTHING hurts him but he seems to do it to get out of whatever he doesn't want to do. He will be smiling and screaming "OW" like I'm hurting him...LOL At first I thought maybe I did something to him while changing him but that wasn't it, I thought maybe his butt hurt from pooping but that wasn't it, I thought ...

  3. Can I just throw everything out & start over?

    by , 12-12-2006 at 02:00 PM
My house is so cluttered with crap, just crap that we don't use EVER! Most of it is DH stuff/junk/crap. I was in the basement looking for something and I can't even WALK down there - literally, I am not kidding. I have no clue how we accumulated so many things in only 12 years. Add the kids stuff to the mix and it's overwhelming to me.

I really am thinking of throwing stuff out and just starting over but clutter FREE.

I put decorations around but I don't have room ...

  4. I'm just about Shrinky Dinked out...

    by , 12-11-2006 at 08:47 PM
I have been making the Kids Art Window charms like a mad woman...LOL I have been shrinking my shrinky dinks most of the weekend and today. They are turning out very cute. I even got a little creative and used my cookie cutters to make different shapes, then have the kids doodle all over them, cut them out and bake. They are so easy to make and each one I do, the better they get. I think the Grandparents will LOVE them I hope to make more to give to other people too b/c they are just too ...

  5. That's just plain old rude!

    by , 12-11-2006 at 08:13 PM
I wish someone could have just spoken up instead of reporting her. We are supposed to be a close group of friends - able to say what we want without being offended by anyone or anything. Just wish that person could have been honest and asked us to remove it from the board instead of reporting her. Not fair, not fair at all. You try to do something fun for people and someone has to ruin it for us...

Frankly, I don't think it was anyone from our board. I think that certain someone ...

  6. NICU Reunion today

    by , 12-10-2006 at 04:02 PM
We took the kids to their 2nd NICU Reunion today. It was set up much differently then last year at the hospital. They had all the food and music entertainment in the cafeteria, face painting & crafts in the lobby area and Santa was set WAY back near the elevators (which I thought was odd, but whatever).

It was so nice to see their Doctors and nurses again. They all approached us and remembered us this time Last year it was packed with people that we had to make our way to them ...

  7. Early Intervention Evaluation today

    by , 12-08-2006 at 04:01 PM
DS had his EI evaluation today. The EI team was so incredible! I was so impressed with them. I had no idea if he would qualify or not. But Mommy DOES know best Only a Mother really knows how their child is developing and yes I wondered whether or not he needed help in certain areas. He did qualify due to his language, sensory processing and fine motor skills. He is good as some things but not good at others. He barely talks & mostly grunts (that's what I call it). They said he is ...

  8. I put myself out there

    by , 12-06-2006 at 11:05 AM
I just sent an email over our club's yahoo group about looking for a job. I was hesitant to do it but I thought you never know who knows who right? Can't hurt. What if someone does know about a job opening? That would be great. If not, that's okay too. I just feel you won't get results if you don't at least try.

"You are disappointed if you fail but you are doomed if you don't try" That saying was in my fortune cookie and it is so true. Who ever thought I'd listen ...

  9. Weigh In: Week 29

    by , 12-06-2006 at 09:02 AM
I stayed the same. Whew! I thought I gained again. Now if I can only stop the snacking attacks I've been having. I need to get to the grocery store for some healthier foods. I've been eating junk!

The challenge is going to be next week with 3 Holiday Parties!!! I better think about going for the veggies & fruit trays - if there are any Gosh, this is going to be soooo hard for me.....

  10. 2 year appointment today for the twins

    by , 12-05-2006 at 05:12 PM
I took them this morning for their 2 year check up. They both seem to be doing well. I was concerned about Nicholas not eating that much lately but the Dr. said not worry and he looks great. He is still small for his age but being they were premature, the Dr. said they are right on track. He recommended I give him Ensure in his milk for extra calories and to try giving him Pediasure fruit bars at dinner since that is when he decides NOT to eat anything but fruit. I did try giving them Flinstone ...
