I think N&N have an idea of what Christmas is and that Santa comes and brings presents BUT to only good little girls and boys!

I LOVE this age so much. They are learning at school about Christmas and come home telling me all about it. Today they made small wreaths out of craft paper decorated with ribbon and the ornaments were small cotton balls - it's way too cute! They are just so excited about everything. On the way home it's dark outside so they love to look at the Christmas lights. Some of our neighbors have the large inflatable reindeer or Santas and they show me EVERY time we drive by (twice a day)..lol

So I asked Nicholas what he wants Santa to bring him and he said a red Superman cape and spiderman boots...not sure where the boot thing came from but it's still too cute to hear him ask for it. Noelle wants princess shoes and a Hello Kitty shirt but she said it has to be pink..lol I kept asking "okay but what else" and they just repeat the same things. I have a few ideas of things I'll get them. It's just hard b/c they just got so much for their birthday. At this age it's so easy - we can give them anything and they'd be so happy. It's when they get older that the presents get MUCH more detailed and MORE expensive

I'm just excited this year. We can actually get a tree that will be on the floor...haha For 3 years I have had a small tree on the corner table! I'm hoping they are now old enouch to know not to touch it or get in the water in the base. I won't put breakable ornaments within reach b/c I don't trust that they won't be curious to want to pick them off the tree. Honestly I think a tree with just tons of white lights and bows can be just as pretty.

Now I can't wait to take them to see Santa and sit on his lap! Last year they loved seeing Santa but just stared at him and this year they'll probably tell him what they want.

Oh and I also have to admit, I like that I can use Santa as leverage for being good...lol When they fight with each other or talk back to me, I tell them that Santa only brings gifts to good little girls and boys so you better watch out, you better not pout, you better not cry, I'm telling you why, Santa Claus is comin' to town... They immediately say "okay Mommy, I'm being good now, see?"
