Lehman went belly up. This is not good because everything we have worked for in the past 8 years has surrounded a particular Lehman deal. This deal went south 2 weeks ago with the market and its been a freaking nightmare ever since. I know this has been the root of dh stress for the past 6 months but it has only gotten worse. This was our life. This was all he and my bro worked on for the past 8 years. The reason we have lived in this place for so long. The entire company life or death depended on this deal succeeding. Its been the answer to everything in our present, past and future. Now where are we headed OMG we were on a 2 year plan to get out of here and move back to N.C and have our place on the water and live our lives happy and peaceful. Dh was going to be able to work less and work from home. This 2 year plan is coming to a screeching hault now We are officially stuck in a place we cant afford to live or sell. We have 2 houses in a dead market. No way we can leave even if we decided to cut and run. Our home has dropped 350,000 in value since we bought it. It seems the day we signed the note for this house was the day the market began to go south. Oh how I wish we had not taken on this debt. Now we are so stuck with no end in sight. Nobody to fund the rest of the project they have worked so hard on. No project funding = no paycheck = non payment of bills = possible loss of both of our houses. Surely it wont get that bad right

This is what makes me sick about the bail out plan. I realize it is a must to curtail a possible recession. But, if you are going to bail out the businesses with our tax money, let's help out someone of the people that were manipulated by these mortgage companies. For some it was greed right along with the companies, but others knew no better.

Man, what I'm reading today really scares me, I've seen many stocks plummet since last week.
