My daughter is rude!

Grandma is here and they think it's hilarious to cap on my singing. So, of course, I sing more just to be annoying. And it's funny. Haha.

But then... the sadness... Susannah took it to a new level

My mom said something about the bad singing, and suggested that maybe I'd be better on Dancing with the Stars (as opposed to American Idol) since there's no singing. Haha very funny, giggle giggle. "But there's a little problem," ...

Browsing around some of the youngsters MS pages.

I find a message from one to my sister saying that a certain stepson is on his way to Colorado for a visit.

First off... he has a court date on Monday.

Second, and more importantly... I know NOTHING about this. NOTHING. Not a mention from my husband that this is or might occur.

Third... said stepson called here tonight. His father was already sleeping, so stepson got to talk to me. And ...

I will retrieve her from the airport tomorrow

My sister is having surgery Thursday, so mother will be tending her children for a bit while she recuperates.

*I* selfishly wish her visit wasn't until June, when I will have more time to hang out. But she'll get to see Susannah and Kenny's last weekend of soccer, key word being LAST... I love soccer, but I'm lookign forward to the end of the season.

I know alot of folks like him, but he doesn't do it for me. Too dramatic.

Today is dress as a character from a story day.

I blew it. Susannah told me a week ago that she wanted to be Laura Ingalls (she's reading the Little House books now) and I thought I registered that info. But I didn't.

I get home from work this morning. Derek has Susannah dressed and ready to go, but she's in tears. She doesn't have a costume.

I have a definite "OSM" on my hands.

We start tearing through her closet, her drawers... ...

And I'll have my life back. Well mostly back.

After much deliberation, and some seriously appreciated cooperation from my employer, I will become a part time employee starting June 1st.

For at least three months, I will only work Saturday and Sundays. I'm excited. I'll get to spend the summer with my girl. I'll get to sleep at night and wake up in the morning and drink coffee again. I'll see daylight almost everyday

Of course DH is already considering ...

She's really gotten so good, but she says this will be her last season of soccer. She tries to get out of every practice, says she too tired, or says her legs hurt, or her tummy... whatever. But on game day she's always ready to go, and she's all over the ball and having fun. She's always so proud of herself after a game, always asking if we saw this play or that pass. But she says this is it

I'm sad. I mean obviously I want her to have fun, and if she wants to do something ...

I did a little shopping last night and bought a few tops for work. Normally, I would wash them before wearing, but since I am so behind on laundry and have nothing else to wear, I yanked the tags off one of them and put it on.

Oh yuck! I didn't realize it in the store when I tried it on, but tonight.... ewwwwww.... it reeks like BO. Bad, manly, nasty BO. Ewww ew ew!

So I grabbed another new top and gave it a serious sniff test. (It was in the same bag after all.) ...

I'm losing it... rarely know what day of the week it is to begin with. I go to work one day and come home on a new day.

Today was take your kid to work day, so she didn;t have to go to school. DH did that.

So I get Susannah bathed and ready for school tomorrow. Oh wait.. there's no school tomorrow.

But no, wait... yes there is. It's half day school with BASE after school. Monday is a half day as well, with BASE in the morning, and assessment in the afternoon. ...

If I look at the big picture, I'm inclined to think not.

My daughter is definitely my daughter. In the grand scheme of things, I'm impressed... overwhelmed with her confidence. I'm not sure I was so confident and willing to stand up for what I thought at her age.

So after our talk last night about the "group," I thought she was okay with it. Apparently she had something else in mind. When I picked her up from school today, I asked her how her day was. ...
