  1. 7 years...(loss ment)

    by , 01-16-2009 at 03:05 PM
7 years yesterday, we lost our little boy...

It is amazing how time passes. The pain is not as sharp, but there is still a great loss that I feel, a hole in my life where he should be.

I am thankful for what I have in my life, but also sad for my little boy that I never got to see grow.

One thing that I have realized over the years, a child is a miracle, whether born living or not. Jackson was our 1st miracle...we just had no time to enjoy him.

  2. 1st U/S today...

    by , 12-03-2008 at 08:20 PM
Today I had the first u/s with this pregnancy. It went well - baby is right on track at 6 weeks 2 days, there is a visible heartbeat. It is amazing how you start to become attached when you first see a baby on an ultrasound. I've done it so many times, but it never ceases to amaze me.

The due date is July 27th, 2009. I will have a c-section somewhere between the 15th and the 20th, depending on the doctor's schedule. It will most likely be the 15th, since this is Wednesday, his ...

  3. Holy Cow! Surprise Pregnancy Mentioned...

    by , 11-23-2008 at 11:04 PM
So, we were going to start clomid again in May 2009 for our last baby...but, I just found out this week that I got pg on my own. Shock is the best word that I can think of to describe our reaction right now!

Our little one will be 22 months old - not a terrible age difference, we are just shocked that it was easy this time. Also, the rest of the kids will be in school full-time next fall, so it works out very well. With my history, there could still be a m/c at any point, but for ...

Sex and the City: The Four Women, the Four Elements
Your results are based on the four Elements of Astrology: Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Each Element has its own set of characteristics, and each of us displays some combination thereof, usually with a focus on one or two. Samantha, Miranda, Carrie and Charlotte each personify one of the Elements and its basic traits. Which Elements most strongly influence you?

  5. I got a compliment today...

    by , 06-03-2008 at 09:38 PM
    On my children's behavior!!!

We were sitting in the food court at Sam's Club eating our lunch...I had all 4 with me (ages 7, 4.5, 4.5, 8 months). They were happily eating their food.

An older woman tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I just want to tell you how nice it is to sit next to such well behaved children!" I said, "Thank you, we really try." Then she said, "Well, you are doing a good job!"

    I almost teared up! ...

  6. Cooing (general baby update)

    by , 11-15-2007 at 07:42 PM
Alyssa started cooing yesterday...it is so darn cute! She is finally starting to calm down. It has been a rough 8 weeks with this one...she has had reflux and has been so miserable.

This dose of Zantac seems to have done the trick, she is also sleeping better at night. Things that she just started to actually like this week that didn't help at all before are the swing, the bouncer, and she likes the tiny love gym on the floor. Starting to look around and be able to entertain ...

  7. Alyssa is here....(new baby ment)

    by , 09-23-2007 at 06:29 PM
    Here is our birth story...

We went in for the c-section at 5:30 am on Wednesday. I was scheduled for 7:30, but there were a few hangups with scheduling, so they didn't actually start until after 8:00. I was extremely nervous, shaking when they did the spinal (the worst part, I think)...What didn't help matters was that the anesthesiologist was giving a blow by blow account of everything that he was doing to some student nurses...It kind of freaked me out!

    When the ...

  8. 32 weeks...pg ment.

    by , 08-04-2007 at 03:29 PM
We made it to 32 weeks! Baby is growing well, incredibly active, and is passing her BPP's and NST's with flying colors. My blood pressure is staying in the low to normal range - quite a difference from the twins pregnancy! At this point with them, we were borderline high on the blood pressure, and having NST's for that reason.

The c-section (if we make it that long....looks like we will) is scheduled for September 18th at 38.5 weeks...Just 6 1/2 more weeks to go!

  9. Can't sleep...just finished HP and too excited! (no spoilers)

    by , 07-22-2007 at 11:44 PM
Well, DH went and got the book for me last night, late...I was trying to be good and wait - but just couldn't do it!

I've been reading it for a few hours this morning and nonstop since about 6 pm tonight. Just finished about 20 minutes ago.

Now I have terrible insomnia because I am so keyed up! I have even had a few Braxton Hicks tonight - pretty intense ones...My excitement must have woken up this baby, and now she can't sleep either!

    I think Rowling ...

  10. Ambulance at my house at 3 am...

    by , 06-01-2007 at 08:12 AM
It has been a terrifying night. My dh got up for work at about 2:45, Emma started crying, she had a high fever. He brought her to me, I gave her Ibuprofen and took her temp. Under the arm it was 103.5. Lay down with her, she started screaming "Ow". Then, nothing. I took her into the bathroom, thinking she was going to throw up.

She was stiff and shaking. After a minute, I realized that she was having a seizure. She was completely unresponsive. Her neck was tilted ...
