Two years ago today I had a d and c for a blighted ovum. I had gotten pg naturally while still exclusively b/f Johnny. Johnny was 9 months old. I didn't want to m/c naturally during Christmas and ruin Johnny's first Christmas so I opted for the d and c. I wasn't bleeding. I just wanted it over with. I remember as they took me in I wondered if I was making a mistake. I foolishly thought that if I waited another week maybe something would magically appear. In my (logical) head I knew it wasn't possible. Christmas was not that great. I hate that I will remember Johnny's first Christmas in this way also. At the time we thought it was a fluke. On February 21st, after just one "normal" cycle after my d&c, I conceived Dominic. I found out I was pg again just three weeks before Johnny's first Birthday. Somehow I just *knew* this time would be okay. Grandpa had just died and I still wholeheartedly believe Dominic was sent by him to help me heal. I miss grandpa so much.

Looking back now, I realize if I had waited for the "natural" m/c we would not have Nick. What an odd thought. I am so glad I had that d and c. That sounds even odder.

Glad we got him in before Christmas because it was bad enough to need antibiotics. This is his third one ever. He has never puked before. I mean, he spit up as a baby but he has never vomited. Ever. I guess there has to be a first time for everything, right?

I have been giving nickles, pennies, small pieces of peppermints, etc. I also put a few sunsweet individually wrapped prunes in a few boxes. Johnny usually loves them but yesterday when he opened the door and saw the prune he told me it had dirt on it and it needed to go in the trash.
I guess I can't use prunes anymore. Good while it lasted!

He loved Santa Claus. They even had two live reindeer. What a great memory. Neither of the boys liked the cocoa. I was quite surprised by that. Nick got a bit antsy but he loved the elves (preteen girls dressed up so cute). I have quite a little flirt on my hands.

Good thing she is so easy going. She got a good check up, lol. He said he couldn't hear anything on her. I'd guess it is because her fur is so thick. It was neat to see him so interested in medicine. Perhaps another nurse in the family???? My dad's sis is a nurse also.
Did I mention I love me new ped! We switched a little less than a year ago. I was so happy when he didn't give me a problem with no chicken pox vaccine and delaying the mmr.

Johnny still hasn't had the mmr and he will be three. I know it is controversial but I just keep hearing about normally developing kids who suddenly stop. I know they can't be certain it's a vaccine but I want to be 110% certain he is continue to develop normally and then I think we will go for it. I will eventually get it (before school). Neither one goes to daycare/preschool at this point.

The peds was so great. I am so glad we made the switch!

We probably would have already done a transfer (or two) if we wouldn't have had Dominic. Weird to think of it that way.
Seeing the two of them together has been the best. What's one more, right? I am already spread so thin with time I really doubt that another would slow me down, lol. And we have so much love to give in our family. We do everything with the boys as it is. We are always taking them somewhere, exposing them to new things. We have tons of baby stuff. Dh even agreed with that. At first he wasn't really on board but he is coming around. Just the other day he said that when it is time for us to get rid of our baby stuff we could have a huge sale. I asked him when the sale was, lol. He said when we are done with it!!!!!!!!
