  1. two years ago today (m/c and d&c mentioned)

    by , 12-23-2008 at 07:08 PM
Two years ago today I had a d and c for a blighted ovum. I had gotten pg naturally while still exclusively b/f Johnny. Johnny was 9 months old. I didn't want to m/c naturally during Christmas and ruin Johnny's first Christmas so I opted for the d and c. I wasn't bleeding. I just wanted it over with. I remember as they took me in I wondered if I was making a mistake. I foolishly thought that if I waited another week maybe something would magically appear. In my (logical) head I knew it wasn't ...

  2. Ear infection

    by , 12-23-2008 at 07:01 PM
Johnny has a double ear infection. He has had a temp for two days and Tylenol wasn't really bringing it down but he was acting alright and drinking liquids, though not much of an appetite. Last night he woke up and drank some juice and puked all over. This morning dh took him to the peds as I had to work. Glad we got him in before Christmas because it was bad enough to need antibiotics. This is his third one ever. He has never puked before. I mean, he spit up as a baby but he has never vomited. ...

  4. one more note. About the true spirit of Christmas.

    by , 12-14-2008 at 06:41 PM
Johnny has been telling dh that he wants to get Nick something for Christmas. Dh took him to the store and he looked up and down all of the isles before picking out this wooden ball punder thing from Parents brand (good choice, btw, cause he knows I like wooden toys). Dh offered to get Johnny a small Matchbox car after he had been up and down the isles and never asked for anything for himself. He told dh no. Said we are shopping for Nick for Christmas today. Sometimes I forget he is not yet ...

  5. Johnny and the Advent prune.

    by , 12-14-2008 at 06:37 PM
We have been doing the advent calendar daily. Johnny looks forward to opening his "treat box" and I have made a counting game to go with it so there is something educationalabout it also. I have been giving nickles, pennies, small pieces of peppermints, etc. I also put a few sunsweet individually wrapped prunes in a few boxes. Johnny usually loves them but yesterday when he opened the door and saw the prune he told me it had dirt on it and it needed to go in the trash.

  6. The Polar Express.

    by , 12-14-2008 at 06:34 PM
Johnny and Nick loved it! We went yesterday with both sets of grandparents. As son as we got out of the car and Johnny heard the train whistle blow he declared that we had to hurry up. He was so excited. His eyes lit up when he saw the conductor and the conductor punched his ticket....

He loved Santa Claus. They even had two live reindeer. What a great memory. Neither of the boys liked the cocoa. I was quite surprised by that. Nick got a bit antsy but he loved the elves (preteen ...

  7. Johnny and the stethescope.

    by , 12-14-2008 at 06:31 PM
I let him try out my real stethescope tonight. he has been a little curious since he watched the peds check Nick out last week. He was very fascinated with his own heartbeat (said it sounded like his drum). He then listened to his bowel sounds. He listened to dh and I also. Then he checked out the dog. Good thing she is so easy going. She got a good check up, lol. He said he couldn't hear anything on her. I'd guess it is because her fur is so thick. It was neat to see him so interested ...

Dominic wore his new Gap Fair isle hat today. I can't tell you how many people commented on his looks and said he could be in the Gap ads.

I really need to get a few pics posted. Especially for my friend who has asked several times, lol!
